Confirmo lo expresado por otros huespedes. Excelente ubicación. Mala higiene del baño, cubierto de hongos y con una gotera desde el piso superior. La habitación estaba limpia pero con un penetrante olor a humedad por la situación del baño. A pesar de pedir cambio de habitación por el estado del baño no bien nos alojamos, el personal permaneció ajeno a nuestro reclamo. Al segundo día nos retiramos del hotel, luego de despertarnos con un pedazo de reboque que cayó desde el techo sobre nuestras cabezas.

It is right in the heart of attractions (Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace) you would want to see and down thw street from the tram line. The staff are fluent in English, always at the desk and very knowledgeable about sights and schedules. Finally the hotel has internet access (not just wi-fi-- but a computer you can use to check weather, restaurants, email).

The location of Albion Hotel is exellent. It is in heard of the old city. Excellent staff, very friendly, great local knowledge and knew what to see in the time we had. Hotel exactly as described, I had the smallest room and it was small but as shown in photo.Would stay again and thoroughly recommend both the hotel and Istanbul.

This is a nice, little hotel near Sultanahmet. the rooms are clean. The nice breakfast and the stunning view from the breakfast terrace made up for that though. Everything is here within walking distance, which also is very nice. The good: 1) Location, location, location. It takes you 5 minutes to get to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, or Topkapi Palace by walk. It's located in the heart of Sultanahmed, and has very easy access to all the attractions. 2) It's very clean 3) The staff is competent. 4) They provide free internet access. 5) The breakfast terrace has views to Hagia Sophia.

We had a lot of rooms in Istanbul but this one get the lower quality/price rate. Little rooms and dirty bathrooms at double price for the season (winter). You can find some better in few minutes.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and the service, especially from front office staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to major tourist features (Grand Bizzare, Blue Mosque etc) Room was well appointed, clean and well airconditioned. Highly recommended.

As a married couple we found the hotel good. Excellent location . The room appeared to be renovated, but the double bed was a bit tired. The staff were very helpful.

Room was clean, but smelled mildewy and the plaster was crumbling off. Quiet, central location.

The low price of accomodation is in accordance with the quality of service and of rooms, wich is quite poor. Nevertheless it is very well located in the hearth of turistic sites (just 2 min walk from the Haghia Sofia, Topkapi, Blu Mosque!) and due to its "no luxury" ambiance... it should not be a target for terroristic attacks (in the period I was there, there have been 2 bomb explosions). If you don't mind of poor service and facilities, it is a good and safe place, very well placed to visit Istanbul. P.S. The hotel offered to pick me up for free at the airport (as I booked more than 3 nights) but nobody was there and when I arrived with a taxi, they pretended to have waited for me at the airport... Don't believe them!

Achilles' heel of the hotel are the rooms for sure. In spite of the friendliness and kindness of the staff, the pleasanteness of the brakfasts and the really good price I paied the hotel is, inside, quite old looking. The rooms are small, the lights really poor and the switchs in an uncomfortable position; the curtains not really able to keep the light out of the room, and the shower curtain absent; the mattress very uncomfortable and everything doesn't look really well cleaned. Apart from that the hotel is really perfectly located in the historical part of the city and even if in the very center, the street is quiet. Finally if you don't mind to suffer a few nuisance in your room, I'll really recommend tha Albion for your stay in Istanbul.
