The first night the room reserved was not availabe, and they sent me to a close hotel, without any organizative problem. The hotel is pretty good, and is located in a very confortable place. Good.

The Grand Seigneur Hotel itself maybe doesn't deserve four stars, but charming ambience supported with fantastic staff make this valuable compensation.

Not very happy with my stay at this hotel - I arrived at midnight and it seemed to be a problem that I had only booked two days in advance of my stay ... there was a lot of shuffling around to find my reservation (during which time I was kindly offered tea) and then I was shown to a tiny room. This was fine until I noticed that there was an on again, off again noise that sounded like a motor. Opening the cupboard at the head of my bed I found the workings for the elevator ... not what I would expect for EUR 70/night. I went to reception and the apologized and switched off the elevator for the night, but I still found it rather odd. My recommendation would be OTEL SULTAN around the corner which has smallish private rooms with ensuite bath, exceptionally friendly (though not fluent English speakers) for EUR 18/night.

l have seen a part of history. Excellent staff. Hotel is very good located but it is not too big hotel. l really like Grand Seigneur Hotel. l will stay again.

Grand Seigneur Hotel is very good located in heart of historical area by walking distances.if you want to cross asian part there are ports you can pass 15 minutes,if you want to go airport there is tramway, Hotel is a part of history. l recomend everybody.

one the best location. Staff can speak very good english and we got from them very good information about istanbul.They can organize all your trip day by day. l recomend all active travellers.

It was a very nice hotel, not so far from the blue mosque and the room was not very spacious but the beds were really confortable, I recommend it, and the staff has 10 in attention to the customer, we love it a lot.

This is a wonderful hotel located near the best attractions in Istanbul. In all respects this hotel exceeded me expectations. From the minute I arrived the staff made me feel welcome. The public rooms were well appointed and had a welcoming feeling. My room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. I even found adequate electrical outlets which are often missing in European hotels. l can recomend Grand Seigneur Hotel.

Hotel Location is in the heart of history and lstanbul. Staffs are very friendly and they can even speak italian language. All historical places by walking distance and you can get a good information front desk. l love history and hotel is as a small part of history l really like this historical hotel and l recomend everybody. Rooms are very nice with sea view, very clean and comfortable.

had no water one morning. all news and information tv channels blocked out, only shows available were mostly shopping channels. coffee and breakfast food not replaced, smoking smell throughout the reception.

A very good hotel in a section of Istanbul that has the big advantage of being very close to Haja Sofia and to the Bosphorus, but the disadvantage of very old infrastructures

Room: First of all the room was not clean and cleaning services provided on a daily basis were inadequate. There was no door between toilet and living room, it was only separated by a curtain, in an instance with a triple room and you can imagine how wise it is! The bathroom fitting were all broken/torn down, the shower was leaking and it didn’t smell or look good. The furniture was not antique at all, collection of various leftovers from different sets. Breakfast: Breakfast was served in a dirty tiny place, with dirty tables and dishes as well as tableclothes, spoons and forks were disgustingly dirty. Breakfast was very poor. Old bread, expired butter, some cheese, salad made of cucumbers and tomatoes- all limited quantity. The only thing that made difference is 3 kinds of olives. No fresh juices. No clean cups or spoons available, we had to find a boy serving the place ALONE and ask him to bring over clean cups! Not a single hot dish for breakfast (though we were served an omelet once as a great offer). Internet: Although we were promised to have a wi-fi connection, there was none available. Location and view: Location was good, but not to say excellent. The place was surrounded by construction area from all sides. Staff: The staff seemed friendly and helpful. They kindly offered me to use their mobile phone (with my own sim card) for the period of my stay. However, I would stress that that they luck professionalism in the area of hotel management and client orientation. Quality for Value Finally, there is absolutely NO quality for value, it was very expensive. I was very disappointed and will never stay there again. My advise, avoid this place as much as you can. You just feel being cheated and mistreated.

The Grand Seigneur Hotel is ideally located near the central rail station and a two block walk to tram and ferry ticketing. All of the major sites in Istanbul are within very easy walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and services are exactly what I expected at a moderately priced hotel: they were clean; the staff was pleasant and helpful; and a nice breakfast was included. For summer visits the lack of air-conditioning might pose a problem for some people.
