Faros Hotel Istanbul - Special Class - Istanbul

Excellent hotel, greate location, nice breakfast bufet and lovely dinner. But the shower in our room was uncomfortable small.

Excelente recibimiento. El personal es extremadamente cortés y servicial. Nos admitieron mucho antes de las 12:00. La habitación muy amplia, limpia y confortable con terraza. Desayuno suficiente (poco dulce). Volveremos.

Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage und das Personal war unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Obwohl wir ein Standardroom bestellt haben, hat uns das Hotel bei der Anmeldung für denselben Preis eine Suite, die gerade frei war, für den gesamten Aufenthalt (5 Nächte) zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Frühstück war übrigens auch sehr gut.

It was our second stay at Faros hotel. The whole atmosphere created by hotel personnel was wonderful and so much friendly. Reception guys were always ready to help. Our room was facing the main street, but no noise was bothering us. We fell in love with Istanbul as well as with Faros hotel, and we are going to return here again.

Siamo stati in una doppia al primo piano, ovviamente niente vista particolare, ma la posizione centralissima ti fa dimenticare ogni difetto dell'hotel. La notte, nonostante la strada sia molto trafficata, si dorme bene grazie ai doppi vetri che insonorizzano completamente la camera. Il bagno e la doccia sono piccolissimi, il resto perfetto. La camera era sempre pulitissima. La reception è al centro del locale/cafè che c'è al piano terra. La colazione niente di speciale ma sicuramente accettabile. Comodissimo per i trasporti.

Great location. everything is within walking distance. breakfast was ok. standard size for a hotel outside of the USA.

A fantastic hotel, ideally located with a great team of helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed, would definately return.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location for a tourist - near Sultan Ahmet square and most important sites. It is also close to the tram line, (although not really next to the stop) shops, banks (including HSBC) and many restaurants. The area appears very safe as well. The rooms are very small. Beds are not comfortable to my taste (very firm mattresses and very soft pillows), but some people I guess might like that. There is a good a/c and a free internet connection. There is a TV with a big selection of channels, including foreign languages, and that's free as well. The shower hose was leaking, and the door to the cabin broke a couple of times, but the pressure and cleanliness was good. They make rooms late, so if you need to sleep in one of the nights, you won't have problems. The guys at the desk were competent and eager to help. The restaurant is WAY overpriced, and free breakfasts were not that great - tasteless and small selection of cold meats and eggs. I think you could find a better price to quality rate in Istanbul, but I procrastinated with reservation. I would recommend the hotel, as it delivered what I expected and more.

The hotel was immaculate. The room was spacious. Location in Sultanhamet is ideal for a tourist on a first visit because it is on a tram line and close to major sights and bazaars.

Location is outstanding, breakfast was good. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Our room was very nice but in an effort to show off the minimalist decor there is not a square inch of surface to put anything on. Travellers need at least a dresser with a top and some drawers to put stuff away. We had everything littered on the floor and window-sills because there isn't even a table. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

If my wife and I come back to Istanbul on an other occasion, we would like to stay at Hotel Faros again.

I stayed in Istanbul 4 days with my family (my wife and my daughter); it was the first time I went to Istanbul and I had some doubt about clearness and hospitality. Well, I'm dreaming Istanbul every day, now. I live in Rome and I must say that my city and Italy have to learn many things by Istanbul and Turkish people. I have never seen such an hospital people, such a clearnesss (in the Great Bazar too), such tidiness and cheerfulness. This is to tell about the city and about Hotel Faros. I hope to come back to Istanbul in the same place asap...

My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Faros very much. The hotel is new and very clean. We were very happy to be so close to the tram to get to various locations. The morning breakfast was excellent. The manager and staff were very competent and nice.

I believe it is a good hotel and it has a good price/benefit rate. Unfortunately, its social areas are few and small.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, great shower and awesome location! Best in the area for the price! A must stay!

The hotel is very closed to Blue Mosquea, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazar. It is a new hotel in a central position of Sultanamet.
