Dara Hotel Istanbul - Istanbul

Almost everything was OK, room was clean except shower, where was visible mildew. Breakfast was rich- mix of local food.

There is much to see around I recommend this hotel warmly

Excellent hotel right in the centre of the old town, but in a quiet street. Good breakfast on terrace over looking the sea and very helpful staff. Recommended.

OK SO YOU NEED TO REMEMBER IT IS A 3 STAR HOTEL. THAT SAID IT WAS GREAT.VERY GOOD AND HEALTHY breakfast each morning so you don't need to worry.. FRONT DESK STAFF VERY HELPFUL. MAYBE 200 YARDS TO THE BLUE MOSQUE.

The Dara Hotel and its great and potential staff has made our staying in Istanbul a positive experience.The tram stop, the Hagia Sofia and the blue moske are just right around the corner and the famous Grand Bazaar is not far away. The Dara hotel with its rooftop and a magnificent view over the Marmara sea must be recommended.

Little hotel in walking distance to all the important places like Sultan Ahmet Mosque and so on. Rooms are very small and noisy. In general I would recommend the hotel for a short stay.

Great breakfast on rooftop. Next door to mosque, so be ready for 6 AM call-to-prayer. Staff VERY helpful. Nearby the Blue Mosque.

Staff are all very friendly, hospitable and available to help/assist the guests. The manager Engin Ezgin is very professional and nice. Very close to the main attractions....just a few minutes walk. Breakfast isn't international but the the fun of having Turkish breakfast added to the charm of Istanbul and the lady at the breakfast room (roof top where one can admire the nice view) is simply great, she's adorable! I higly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a temporary home sweet home in Istanbul. This is the first time I really felt home in a hotel.

This fabulous hotel is in the heart of Sultanahmet, about 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque with amazing views of the Marmara Sea. Every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel manager, Engin, is also extremely keen to help and provides exceptional service. The breakfast had a lot of variety, was delicious, and eaten on the roof top terrace overlooking the sea. The lady in charge of breakfast, Semra, is gorgeous and makes you feel welcome every morning. We stayed at this hotel initially for 2 nights and liked it so much we extended it to 4. We also came back to Istanbul a few weeks later and stayed again, mainly as we knew we would be welcomed back and that we would have another excellent stay (which we did!) The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are certainly adequate and the views from the rooms are incredible. It's also nice to know that there is actually a double bed! In many hotels we stayed at the "double bed" was just 2 singles pushed together. At the Dara Hotel, there is an actual double bed with beautiful Turkish linen. There is free wifi in the rooms, as well as a laptop downstairs for free use. And never to be taken for granted, the hot water worked every time! The staff make the difference for this hotel though - they are simply brilliant. From airport pickup, to local advice and recommending tours, nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to come back to Istanbul!

I spent 5 days with friend and 3 children. Situation of the hotel very practical, close to the nice little mosq Sukkulu. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and quiet. Breakfast on the terrasse with view on Bosphorus. Staff was exceptionnally nice. I would certainly recommend this hotel for an excellent rate price/quality.

Everything was almost perfect in this hotel : the staff, the service provided, the room, the breakfast...
