If you want to stay in the historical center, nearby the monuments, which are more beautiful during the night, if you want to eat real delicious local food and sweets, if you don't want to live in the nosy and meaningless place of taksim square, the choice is named "Berce Hotel".

We stayed here in May, would definitely stay at Hotel Berce again. Our welcome with a delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace with views over the sea while we waited for our room, was fantastic. Staff at Reception provided a lot of useful local information including interesting walks and other advice about the area and the broader city. Nothing was a problem, seems to be a common feeling in Turkey. Loved our stay, would make it longer next time. Our room was spacious, had 3 small terraces and looked out through trees to the street and the ocean. Very comfortable and clean.

The Berce Hotel is a very nice little Hotel with almost all the major sightseeing points within short walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making arrangements or helping for other services. We enjoyed a very clean and nice decorated room and a warm family type service. I would recommend this place anytime for someone looking for small individual place.

Berce hotel was great! Five minute walk to the main attractions. Very quiet area, we were in the bassement and room and bathroom were clean and perfectly proportioned for the two of us. Heating unit worked well. Breakfast on top floor was delicious and the view was wondeful; the staff was polite, friendly and very, very helpful. Special thanks to Mehment and Mr. Ascher they were great!

We loved our stay at Berce Hotel. Mehmet was so kind in every way even before arriving in Istanbul. The hotel is very comfortable and the breakfast very good. They were very efficient getting the transfer out with a very good price.I intend to return to stay there when I go to Istanbul and would certainly recommend to my friends and clients since I am a travel agent.

Our first visit to Istanbul. Mehmet, daytime reception, was extremely welcoming and helpful from our early arrival until our departure. Our two-night stay was very pleasant, roof-top breakfast buffet very nice. We recommend the Berce to tourists of any age. The main sights are easy walking distance, although a little uphill and on cobblestones, a caution for anyone with walking problems. Mehmet's restaurant suggestions and arrangements for dinner and our airport transfer worked out very well. The evening reception man was very pleasant, but most of our contact was with Mehmet.

Berce was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Turkey and Greece. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. The rooms are large size and the location of the hotel makes it easy to get around Sultanhamet and the surrouding city. If you need a nice place to stay in Istanbul, this is the place!!!

We spent 3 nights at the Berce Hotel while visiting Istanbul. All the important sites are within walking distance. We were so pleased when we arrived. The room was even nicer than in the photos. We felt very welcome, and the hotel manager was always available with helpful information. Breakfast was great, and the view spectacular. The service could not have been better. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Berce was actually exactly what we expected in the price range. A small yet comfortable B&B style hotel in an excellent location. Our request for a specific room was honored and very much appreciated. The staff, primarily Mehmet, from the moment we arrived right through to a somewhat late check-out, was cordial, very informative and as accomodating a host as you could expect. Rifki, the 'luckiest cat in Istanbul' was also a fun addition to our stay. All in all, an excellent experience in Istanbul!

Perfectly located for sightseeing, Blue Mosque, Top Kapi, Ayia Sofia, Yerebatan Sarnice all within 10 minutes walking distance. Same distance to Tramway that goes conveniently and fast around town. Rooms were pleasant, nicely decorated, very clean and with the necessary comfort. Staff does whatever it takes to help with any request one may have. Don't miss the Breakfast on the Roof Terrace to enjoy good food and view of Bosphorus and Blue Mosque.

Berce Hotel, although not easy to find, is a wonderful, cosy boutique hotel. The staffs, particularly Mehmet, are very nice and make you feel very comfortable. The room and bathroom are so clean. We got lost many times to get back to the hotel because there in no street sign in the area and all the streets (with small shops and restaurants) look alike. The roof-top terrace/breakfast room is a wonderful place to start the day or relax in the evening and I already miss Istanbul.

Great hotel in a perfect neighborhood for visiting Istanbul. It is close to all the big sights in Sultanahmet, but outside of the very touristy hotel area. There is a mosque close to the hotel, so the call to prayer can be heard in the rooms. Rooftop terrace is very pleasant and has a water view. Good Turkish breakfast. Decent restaurants nearby, including a nice kofte/kebab place called Meshur Tekirdag Koftecisi on Kucukayasofya Caddesi.

My absolute purpose of visiting Istanbul is purely for business, so, this hotel may not be convenient to visit my business parties concerned in Asian side of Istanbul. It is my mistake to chose this hotel for the purpose of business. If it is not a business, this is ideal and cosy hotel to stay. The view from the roof top to have breakfast is very pleasant and refreshing. It is very good to have free internet without any stress.

Como ubicación perfecto I tambien Relación calidad precio. Los alrededores del hotel tambien son muy bonitos i acojedores.

The hotel was in a great location, with excellent staff, and well appointed rooms. We had room 107, a corner room, with three balconies. The room was exactly as it looked in the picture, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were helpful but unobtrusive. The breakfast was excellent, and served on a beautiful terrace with views of the sea and the Blue Mosque. The only downside was the loud air conditioning units outside the room, which prevented us from having it on during the night. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would recommend to anyone coming to Istanbul!

The Berce Hotel was a great place to stay for our recent visit to Istanbul. We stayed in #107 and loved it. It has 3 balconies that were good for air circulation and some clothes drying. It was often hot and the in-room air-conditioning was fine. It is a short, slightly uphill walk to the Blue Mosque and the Haggai Sofia. The walk can include a nice little indoor bazaar where we even saw a Dervish whirl one day. Yes, the vendors are persistent but well short of obnoxious, small pleasantries (or less) greased our way smoothly. Near the Blue Mosque is the Tramway that we used for much of our getting around. This is truly a great location and the room was very clean with wood floors and dark wood accessories. The shower has a small bath below it with a little built in seat. I love a good bath and it was sufficient. The terrace breakfast area has a view of both the Sea and the Bosphorus, plus the old city wall and the park that borders the Sea. The breakfast was good with eggs and many choices. Quality dining in the surrounding area is limited. Mehmet and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Upon meeting Mehmet you immediately feel you have an ally in Istanbul.

If you are going to Istanbul and you don't choose to stay in this hotel you're crazy. Mehmet will be there to greet you, offer suggestions, and make arrangements on your behalf. The hotel is brand new, clean, and the breakfast that they serve is incredible. One day they cooked scrambled eggs and french toast for us! It's very close to all the sights and has a great view of the sea and blue mosque from the rooftop terrace and breakfast room. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Istanbul. It's also very close to an area that is filled with restaurants, shops and the bazaar. Stay here - you won't regret it!
