The evening staff were amazing and so helpful. They escorted us to a neighborhood store late at night to find throat lozenges for a sore throat. Then when we returned to the hotel, they fixed me up with a special home remedy tea to help me feel better. They were so nice!

First they gave us a "beautifully decorated" Lilliput-size room right under the roof, where a normal person couldn't stand upright without hurting their head, as the room started at about 2m at the entrance door and went down to 70cm just few steps ahead. Also in the bathroom, one should stay always with their head bent. The position of the mirror in the room was on a wall at the back of the bathroom and kneeling in front of it was the only way to see your face and not hit your head against the roof. We asked to change the room immediately, but they answered no other rooms were available until the day after, so we had to spend 1 night in that extremely small and low room and hit our heads against the roof at every movement. The next day they initially told us there were no normal hight rooms available at the price we paid and that we should pay more for the upgrading. Only after telling them that we were going to put the photos of the room on the internet and to claim a complete refund as they made us pay for a space that cannot be legally sold as a room for living purposes (as its functional area was less than 4sqm), they gave us a normal hight room of the same cathegory at the same price. It was at the ground floor, very noisy, dirty and worn-out, full of ants and the spaciousness of the bathroom was ballanced by the terrible smell coming out of the two chutes. We doubted that the higher priced rooms could be cleaner, so accepted that one. When they "cleaned" the room, they only made up the beds and changed the towels, but the "new" towels were never ironed, so they seemed dirty. As we noticed that after their "cleaning" there still were black footprints on the bathroom floor, we told the reception about that but they cleaned them only the day after. The breakfast was poor and always the same (it never changed in 5 days). Fresh fruit was missing. The few thin slices of grapefruit they put out finished in few seconds. The only positive thing was the excellent posit

me & my wife really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.we visited Istanbul many times before, but that was during summer time,it is the first time we go there in winter.the location of the hotel is excellent(in the heart of the historic sites). the staff was very kind.we also rented a car so we had the opportunity to see much of the city.

Angel´s Home? No! hell on earth! The Lobby was dirty. The whole lobby area stinks, it smelled like cats toilette. The room was very very tiny. there was even no space to open a luggage of the size of a cabin trolley. In the room there were a lot of mothballs and the whole room was smelling of these balls! the carpet was very nasty, it looks like it has never been cleaned for many years! the wallpaper was dirty and damaged! the bathroom was mould, the shower was dirty. the surrounding was very noisy even at night! i never had a worser hotel in my life, even a hostel is better than this hotel!

Very nice hotel, very good location (next to blue mosque), we had a very romantic room for a very good price. The only improvements I would recommand is the service: advises from the staff on what to do in Istanbul, flexibility for the breakfast (they could leave 5 or 10 minutes to the latecomers or at least for people having breakfast..)

The hotel is OK, but other places in the same street have far better value for the same prices. Rooms are a bit dark and sheets could be cleaner, the furniture and sheets are all held in dark red and the room we stayed in had little light; the lobby smells a bit like cats, the courtyard outside the breakfast room could be tidied sometime.

Volveremos.

The apart room were in another building with no public areas. The buffet breakfast was not acceptable for us (e.g., no hot milk available!!!) and we decided to have breakfast in a nearby caffé. The fare for the room was not the lowest available in the net for the same room. We discovered it later.

The room it was small but ok. Nobody told me the Hotel has a dependance:I got the room there. If you can, choose the "main" build. The roof garden was very nice with an awensome sight.

Very conveniently located for all the sights, clean, welcoming, comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast is at Angels Home 2 round the corner, but is good, wholesome and in pleasant surroundings. Very quiet, apart from the early morning call to prayer from the Blue Mosque! Ideal for a city break - we would certainly go again.

Only one wee comment was that we were staying 5 nights and had to ask for fresh towels after a couple of days - they didn't automatically refresh them. Other than that it was a lovely hotel, brilliant decor and nice staff. Also the location was fab.

It is a nice cute hotel, very centrally located near the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. The rooms are a bit small, but especially couples in love will like the red colour scheme of the rooms and the sweet hearts. The TV did not work, but that is probably not important in a city like Istanbul. Breakfast was ok, quite standard I guess. The price we got through Venere was good and cheaper than other prices quoted (and included all taxes and breakfast). The service was really good and the pick up from the airport was a great (positive) surprise (highly recommendable). Overall good value for money.

Beautiful small hotel within a short walk of the attractions in Sultanahmet. Spectacular view of the Blue Mosque from the rooftop terrace, where the very good breakfast is served. Welcoming staff, impeccably clean.

If we got, since the first day, the room that they gave us on the third one (on a total of 5 nights), I had rated "excellent" at all the questions. The first room was really small and noisy because of the water piping from the other rooms. The owners are really nice guies and their employees also. The breakfast is correct. The location of the hotel is PERFECT.

Excellente situation, à cinq minutes à pied de la mosquée bleue. Superbe terrasse avec vue sur le Bosphore, Sainte Sophie et surtout sur la mosquée bleue. Nous y retournerons lors de notre prochain séjour à Istanbul.
