The ceiling light in the room was out. The hotel was not able to fix the problem. The shower draining was not working. The air-conditioning in the room was not working. We stayed one night, and left the hotel at 7 am for the airport. The hotel was not able to provide breakfast at this hour. Probably the worst hotel experience ever.

Our room was clean, comfortable and basic. It was very quiet as the area appeared to be more of a summer resort. Only one close by restaurant was open which served decent pizzas and pastas. The hotel is very close to the Palermo Airport. However, the hotel is tricky to get to. Our GPS got us there with no problem. If you don't have a GPS be sure to have good directions and a map. Allow about 15-20 minutes to to/from the airport. The hotel was a bit overpriced for the location. But it appears to be the best hotel within close proximity to the airport.

We chose this hotel because it is close to the airport and we didn't want to get stuck in the busy Palermo traffic and miss an early morning flight. The reviews I read in advance were not too bad, and I can imagine that in the summer season this is quite a nice place: right on the beach and with a great pool. However in early January the hotel and the entire beach boulevard were completely deserted. We were litterally the only guests, and together with the friendly guy at the reception probably the only living persons in the area (I wouldn't have been surprised to discover a few corpses in the bushes)! The hotel looks reasonably modern from the outside but is very plainly decorated and ageing from the inside. Noisy heater/aircon. Small shower. Hard beds. Humid. On the positive side: the room was large and there was free Wifi and an internet computer in the reception area. Breakfast was basic but fine. If you need to catch a morning flight like I did then you may want to stay in this hotel. In all other cases I would recommend staying elsewhere, not only in a different hotel but also in another town.
