Pagoda Residence - Ischia

Great location - 2min walk off the ferry. Crystal clear water for swimming. Great waterfront restaurants nearby.

The location of the Pagoda Hotel is just magnificent. The staff (waiter) in the restaurant is not very polite, though, The service in the reaturant could be better and the breakfast much better. They only serve sweet cakethings, but for youghurt. It would have been nice with some good bread, cheese and salami.

Lying near the harbour, there is polluted sea. Hotel's restaurant has bad food and is very expensive compared to restaurants in the area. Finishings of the rooms are often oxidized and rusty. Garage for car is expensive and located very far from the hotel. It is a hotel to avoid. Ischia has a lot of hotel better than this.

Absolutely lovely, you would not know you were by the little port. So many places to sit within the hotel grounds, very friendly, very helpful and the food was just right. I will definitely go back.

Great location minutes from main Ischia street & seafront restaurants. Good pool & jucuzzis. Breakfast pretty good.

We booked the deluxe suite with sea views, it was an on line offer and we could get it for £100 per night. In your wildest dreams I would have paid double that. Do not even consider booking the standard rooms, they are seriously seriously depressing. It all felt old, broken, not looked after, basic and anything but luxury. Not even run by italians but poles. Location was OK as it was next to the port which is well communicated with the rest of the island. Island is great, particularly the old town, but this hotel is not the place to stay. Other guests thought the same too. Stay well clear.

Our room was beautiful with a nice terrace. However, we exchanged our old and dingy outdoor umbrella and lounge chairs with newer ones. The staff that checked us in was very competent but we had a problem when leaving and the woman tried to charge us double the price. I had to provide her with the quoted price from Venere.com.

The hotel had a good mix of people with what appeared to be some longer term guests and younger transient guests. Breakfast was served every morning until 10:30am and it was the standard European breakfast. The facilities were nice and not busy. The location right on the ocean was lovely, but there isn't a beach very close. Beware that the whirlpool tubs by the pool are not hot, just bubbly. Our room was fairly small and very sparsely decorated, but clean. The bed was not terribly comfortable either. The hotel really needs to do something about the towels as they were really like drying yourself with a tablecloth (they did provide beach towels for use though). All in all a reasonably priced hotel close to the port and walking distance to transit on the island.
