Hotel Noris - Ischia Ponte, Ischia

We stayed in Hotel Noris for five nights. It is central with friendly welcoming staff, about a ten minute taxi drive from the port. It was quiet at night and although busy during the day staff were easily accessible because it is a small hotel. There is a large rooftop terrace which was great to sit and enjoy time in the evenings. The only small complaint I have is the size of the bedroom which was very small but the bathroom facilities were good. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

If you are planing a mixed fun on your vacation (sun, beach, monuments, walks, restaurants) this is a perfect choice for you. It is 2 min from nice sandy beach and it is few minutes from the fascinating castle of Aragon. It is situated on the long pedestrian non crowded street full of shops and restaurants, and about 5 minutes from huge romantic green area.

Good rooms, all in hotel helpfull, excellent location breakfast is included but I can't say that water and cake is a breakfast -very poor we need to eat after breakfast at the restaurants at the street situation of the hotel:not 800m from the Ischia porto its around 2000m.

Great service, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Although the services offered by this hotel are limited, the price was such, that i felt we received more than we paid for. Halfboard meals were tasty and were the cheapest 3 course meal ive ever paid for. Our room was simple, but clean. Walls were a bit thin, as neighbor couple could be heard having their fun. Although there is not a pool on site, the hotel offered us the complimentary use of an indoor thermal pool at a nearby sister hotel. Location was excellent, near to shopping and nightlife, the rest of the island was easily accessible by scooter. Excellent stay at Norris, would visit and room there again.

I stayed at Hotel Noris for 7 nights in early September. The location of the hotel I already knew, having seen it a year before. The traffic noise, which I have seen mentioned elsewhere, is not really a problem, it also quietens down at night, that is until the rubbish and old bottles are collected in the early hours of the morning, This noise doesn't last long but is horrendous whilst it lasts. This is however a feature as much of Italy, as of this particular hotel. Possibly it is easier for them to collect the rubbish at 5am, less traffic, also cooler. The evening meals were an excellent provision especially considering the price. The menus varied at each meal. Prices of wine and water, were not at all inflated as you might find elsewhere. Breakfast was just OK, but for me, I would have preferred bread which was less likely to break my teeth, however this is also a characteristic of some Italian bread, I have friends who prefer it this way, one friend even lets it get old before eating it, however, my teeth are old and fragile. Ischia Ponte has also a selection of small restaurants at OK prices,if you want bigger, more expensive enterprises, you need to go to Ischia Porto, not far ... and you can spend as much as you like. Not that much better, just spend more money. The staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, although I think speaking some Italian made this easier, don't know if English was also spoken ... never tried it. Transport is easy, buses are cheap although crowded much of the time. Taxis have a very high minimum charge.. be warned, probably to cover the "low" seasons. Despite the cost, a trip around with one of them can be quite educational. For those who can, scooter hire is very flexible and cheap. Make sure you know what you are doing, however, if your only experience is driving a four wheel tank, scooters are NOT as easy as Italians make them seem. As for the Hotel Noris, a very pleasant stay, thoroughly recommended

It was my husband's 53rd birthday and I wanted to treat him to something special! When I saw the price, I was a bit hesitant, however when we arrived at the Noris hotel, we were overjoyed with the location, the service and the size and decor of our room!! We could see the castle from our little balcony and could look across to Procida and other interesting sights! The bus stops diagonally across the street and there was a little supermarket practically next door! The lobby is beautiful and clean, but the best part of this hotel is the service from the moment you enter the lobby to the time of checkout! Just cannot say enough about it! Thank you NOris and Venere, it was a wonderful two days we will never forget! Ischia is an enchanting magical place and we cannot wait until our return trip in September! AND Noris will definitely be our hotel of choice!

It was very nice and pleasant, a good place to be. We have enjoyed especially the good local kitchen.

The room is good, not very big but ok. Only the shower is too small and sacrified, but for the price and location it is not bad.

This is a great place to stay on a beautiful island paradise. The hotel is very near the beach and walking distance to the impressive Castle Arogonese...our room was spacious and clean and had a kick butt private balcony...the best thing about this place though was the incredable staff....friendly and helpful...We loved it. Great value for the money too.
