The Hotel "Locanda sul mare" has been completely renovated in 2006.
All rooms are equipped with bathroom with shower, air conditioning, tv.
Some rooms are large enough to be good as triple and quadruple.

I loved this place. The rooms are tiny, but clean and everything works. The owners don't speak much English, but help in every way. The owner is an artist and his works add a personal touch everywhere. Breakfast was a real croissant, personally made coffee (not an electronic dispenser) and juice. The location is perfect for the port and access to a nice beach is only 200 meters away. Don't leave the windows open at night. Mosquitoes will attack.

I had a lovely room overlooking the marina, spacious and very clean. The hotel is very conveniently near (200m) to boat dock where ferry from Naples arrives. Easily walkable and I had an armload of luggage. Near to main bus station, also there is a scooter rental directly adjacent. As I speak English, we were challenged sometimes to communicate but owners aimed to be helpful and were most accommodating to my needs. A great value for the cost. No internet which would have made things more convenient, but an internet cafe (closed from 1pm to 5pm) is also located behind main bus station, a 5 min. walk from hotel. I felt safe and secure in the room and would definitely return and recommend to others visiting Ischia.
