Hotel Hermitage & Park Terme - Ischia

For the most part we enjoyed staying at this hotel. The pools and spa facilities are not really as nice as they were described. The main pool was very nice but the others were very neglected and quite dirty. Reception was nice in allowing us to check in early. Breakfast was great!

The hotel and staff were excellent. The only downside for us was that we were only there one night and didn't find everything until the morning we were checking out. A tour of the spa facilities would have been handy upon arrival.

Un ottimo hotel, un piacevole soggiorno. Camere discretamente spaziose ben arredate e con una bella vista sul mare, personale efficiente e disponibile. Ben tenuti e ben usufruibili gli spazi comuni: piscina coperta e due piscine scoperte, spazi verdi coperti, sala fitness. Buona la prima colazione, a eccezione del solito cappuccino e caffèlatte prefabbricati da macchinetta, non adeguati a un hotel 4 stelle (però massima disponibilità dietro richiesta) PS non dimenticate di portare con voi un paio di pantaloni lunghi, altrimenti la sera rischiate di non poter cenare :O)

This hotel was very nice - staff was helpful, continental breakfast satisfying, views nice, rooms clean, pools nice-but not for small children. The pool started at 1 meter. My children (12 and 7) are swimmers, so they were ok...but I did see a few disappointed small children and parents because there was no place for small children to play in shallow waters. I recommend this hotel for mature couples without chilren, but not for younger couples with children under 18 as there is not much to offer for them. However, for anyone wanting a relaxing and quiet weekend to think, read a book, or sleep by the pool, this is the place to go.

Pool area needs lockers and facilities for changing before amd after sauna or pool. Bathrobes should be provided for all guests. Water in thermal pool should be warmer.

It was our third year at the hotel and again we enjoyed it thoroughly. I have 2 comments though. One which I made for the past 2 years. The gym ( near the spa) has no air conditioning which is very much required, especially as it is next to a swimming pool and is very humid anyway. Also the opening hours of 4.30 to 7.30 are not enough. It should be open in the morning too. Secondly as a couple who was not full board. And who also have very minimal Italian the breakfast situation is extremely confusing. And we were certainly not the only to experience this. Nobody knows where to sit if they are not full board. Numerous times we were put sitting somewhere and people whose names were on the table came over giving out about it being there table. One German couple made us move! Even though there were loads of free tables!It is embarrassing and should be made clear what the breakfast seating situation is.

I have paid a lot less and got a lot more. I don't think I have ever been charged for towels to take to the pool at the hotel I was staying in. I don't recommend staying at this hotel.

It's in a quiet place surrounded by many gardens. The rooms have a nice balcon.

I would have liked to have known that the pool was not suitable for a young child before i booked as this was one reasons that i booked this hotel.

I booked two rooms and I was hosted in a separate building without any easy connection with the principal unit and with lots of strairs to do with luggage.

Beware of Alilauro company, which is unreliable end of Saturdays and Sundays. The company sells fares which can be cancelled as it wishes and aren't refund as you are supposed to wait for the next ships! Plan accordingly, especially if going/coming with a plane.

A good hotel, at a fair price and excellent facilities. Staff were friendly and weather was perfect for enjoying the pools. I will stay again.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely hotel. Comfortable.Spotlessly clean. Welcoming staff. Only complaint I have is the gym area. No airconditioning in here which is pretty much a basic essential for any gym. In the absence of this a fan would be the least necessity. It was stifling hot trying to work out in there.

room was small but adequate, bed very comfortable, one evening i could hear very loud music, evening food was excellent, lovely view, free internet access in foyer, most staff had some english, most other guests were italian or german and fairly old!

L'albergo si trova a 10 min a piedi dal centro di Ischia porto, in buona posizione. L'impressione sull'albergo, all'arrivo, è stata buona. Tuttavia, la sistemazione non è stata all'altezza dell'aspettativa. Le camere erano in un edificio separato dal corpo centrale e senza acqua calda! Il bagno era pieno di capelli sul pavimento. Alle nostre proteste alla reception non è seguito alcun intervento. Che fosse quotato come un albergo a quattro stelle mi ha lasciato piuttosto perplessa. Forse il prezzo pagato, effettivamente basso, doveva farci sospettare che ci sarebbe stato qualche "problema".

Nice hotel well located, the room was large enough (triple), but located under diningroom and in fact quite noisy. Parking was included

I was not at the hotel much...as i was there on buisness.However the rooms were nice, didy and clean....the only point i will make the original price quoted to the price offered and paid were different. The map on the website on how to get there from the port needs to be clearer...especialy in season, when some roads are blocked

This is a quiet (for Italy) hotel, a short walk to shopping, the castle and the beach. Free internet acess in the lobby. Desk staff very helpful, cleaning ladies less so. Nice basic spa treatments, Claudia was a great shiatzu therapist. Lots of funky dance and aerobics lessons by the pool. Not a lot of english spoken at the hotel or in town. Some german spoken throughout. My basic, present tense-where-what-when-thank-you-very-much was enough. If you haven't been to this island before it's a great place to go in Italy in the summer without being over run by Americans. I felt safe travelling as a woman alone, but keep in mind the men are very persistant.

An excellent hotel.A good sized room overlooking the Bay of Naples. Although the room was near reception and above the restaurant it was quiet.

The hotel has an excellent restaurant. The hotel is within easy walking distance of both Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte.
