The Markos Village is a nice hotel located in the heart of Chora Town, on the enchating island of Ios, with its endless golden beaches and crystal clear sea.

A great value for the price in September. Location is perfect, right in the center of town. The services available were a pleasant surprise: pool, outdoor area, internet, bar, etc. George, was always around to answer questions and provide advice. When I return to Ios, I will surely stay at Markos Village again.

This was in the perfect location. Very close to the bus stop taking you to the main beaches and port, also close to all the good bars and restaurants. Location, location, location!

Noi siamo una coppia che ha soggiornato 5 gg in questo hotel a settembre (bassa stagione) quindi la zona bar e la piscina non essendo affollate erano davvero piacevoli da frequentare.Hotel a conduzione familiare, servizio navetta e internet ci sono, peccato che quando siamo arrivati noi si sono rotti entrambi.Se amate la quiete non credo sia un posto troppo indicato, è consigliabile invece per gruppi di amici o single, soprattutto under 20. I bagni non sono il massimo infatti (non ci sono le foto nel sito), ma nel complesso è pulito.Bella la vista sul villaggio. Ottimo qualità prezzo.

My friends and I stayed at Markos Village for two nights. The staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively basic, but clean and great value for the price. The pool area was nice and the on-site bar was a great place to start the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to young and budget travelers.

Very good value for money at 24 euro a night for a couple. Nice pool and balcony area. Would recommend it. Also had a driver at the port advertising rooms to those getting off the ferry (as they all do) who we were able to get a ride to/from the hotel with. This wasn't advertised or formally arranged, just luck, but try and do the same if you go there!

It was the first time in Markos Village. I will suggest this place specially for this location, perfect area very close to the centre (chora) and close also to the beach. Good rooms (specially for the individually controlled air-conditioning)and very good swimming pool!Complains only for the staff,not always friendly and welcoming with the services sprovided.

The closest airport is located in the island of Santorini. From Athens international airport to Santorini it is about a 30 minutes flight. There are daily ferry boat services connecting Santorini to Ios. The ferries reach the port of Yialos, which is 2 km away from the hotel.
By boat
To reach the island of Ios there are daily ferry and high-speed ferry services connecting the Athens port of Piraeus to Yialos harbour. By ferry boat it takes about 4.5 hours and 2.5 hours by high-speed boat.
