Hotel Weisses Kreuz - Interlaken

Excellent welcome provided with information on the surrounds and how to go up the mountain. There's a nice and spacious public lounge area where you can access wireless internet or use a public computer. The hotel itself is in quite a central location making it very convenient. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Interlaken.

Good location, along interlaken's main tourist street- easily walkable from Interlaken(W)station, even tho I was a solo traveller with a toddler in a pram and an overnight bag! Little tricky finding the lobby, since it is located above a restaurant and entrance is thro a side street. There is a good Italian restaurant on the ground floor and quite a few good restaurants within walking distance. The coop and tourist information centre are a few steps away. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Breakfast is good, but can be very crowded since tour groups are put up here. Front desk staff is helpful with sight seeing and tour information. However, I was a little disappointed with some of their regulations. I needed milk for my child at night. The gentleman at front desk said they cannot provide this (every other hotel we stayed across Switzerland, Germany, Austria had no issues with this!)and I needed to get it from outside. I got it from the coop close by. Then the lady at the front desk refused to let me store it in their fridge saying they do not let outside food/drinks in their kitchen. Considering there is no minibar/fridge in the rooms, I do wish they were a little more flexible and understanding! There is a microwave for guests to use, but no utensils are provided and they close the area by 10.00pm. Quite inconvenient when u are out late and have kids with you! Otherwise, its a good basic hotel, ideal for short stays.

Friendly hotel near centre of Interlaken. Nice Italian restaurant on the street.

Very small and rather run down room with post world war II furniture. Not worth its price. Very basic and small bathroom. Hotel doesn't deserve its 3* category. Nice and competent reception.
