Hotel Roessli - Unterseen, Interlaken

I marked them down a little because my head still aches from repeatatively hitting my head on the ceiling. My room had a huge dip in the roof line (a quarter of the room went from 7 ft to 3 ft over the bed area), which made it a little hazardous for a tall person, though I think a short person difficulties too

Excellent location within a short walk from the station. Very nice,friendly and helpful host. The room was small but adequate. It was in the loft so it was very hot(exceptionally hot days, but I was offered a fan. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Had an amazing time over Christmas in 2011 at Hotel Roessli. Would highly recommend!!

Hotel is in a good location close to Interlaken west train station.The family running the hotel go out of their way to ensure that we had a good stay. Very good breakfast , god help at the front desk also for any type of help that one would need.

Love this place. Would definitely go back again. Rooms were very cosy. Communal bathroom are very clean. Great service and breakfast!! Two stars is an under statement.

No-one could fail to be charmed by Jean-Louis and Christopher, who run this brilliant family B&B with a real desire to please their visitors. It is in a great position with free parking, and only 5 minutes walk from Interlaken West station, shops & restuarants. There is plenty of tourist information on the local attractions, and they are very willing to give advice and help you to sort out trains, boats etc. Rooms are clean, nicely appointed, and quiet (apart from the nearby church clock!). Free wifi is available, or there is an internet paystation (CHF2 = 10 mins). A continental breakfast was included, with fresh croissants & rolls, fruit, ham/cheese etc, all personally served by the owner, the charming Jean-Louis. This is an absolute gem at the price, one of the best family hotels we have ever stayed in!

This was a great find. The father/son that run the hotel are terrific---a very warm welcome and lots of information. It's in a great location and an easy walk from the Interlaken West station. We'd definitely stay there again.

It's about 7 minutes walk to the hotel from Interlaken west station.The house is very beautiful.There is a hugh number of trip imformation of Swiss in hotel and you also can buy the tickets of Jungfraujoch. The hotel belongs to a very very warm and lovely old grandpa:) You can take free drink such as coffee ,tea,chocolate in its large living room,and on 2th floor,it's a playroom which full of toyes. The room is clean,and big.it's also has a balcony.You can see bright stars in the night:) I will choose Rossli if I go to Interlaken again.

Rossli is one of my favorite hotels. Location is quite good, where is very close to the shopping area. You can see the Jungfrau when you stand in the yard. You can also park you vehicle in it. City map and transportation tickets were provided when you checked in. They were very useful during our stay in Interlaken. The room is so clean and comfortable, which impressed me. Jean Louis, the owner of the hotel, is very humorous and influenced us with his happiness. Do appreciate the help provided by Jean Louis (the breakfast) and Christopher (Jungfrau tickets and good advise). If we will visit Interlaken in the future, Rossli must be my first choice.

I had no issues with my stay at Hotel Rossli and found it excellent. A special note about the sense of humour of the owner who was most welcoming. The only drawback (which I believe is due to the appreciation of the Swiss currency in recent times) is the high price. I some from the UK (which itself is not a cheap country) and even there similar hotels would cost around £75 a night. At Rossli, the room cost me the equivalent of £100 a night.

Excellent location (5 minutes walk from Interlaken West Train Station). Extremely nice, pleasant, and helpful hotel staff (owners) who make you feel very much at home. Clean facility and surroundings. Good breakfast. No a/c. Will definitely stay there again.

The Rossli is a wonderful place to stay and the best value of any hotel in which I stayed in Switzerland. The chalet-style building had very clean, cozy, comfortable rooms with desk, wardrobe, and sink. My room had a view of the Jungfrau. The bathroom and common areas were kept immaculate. Soap, shampoo, towels and hand towels were provided in abundance, which is not always the case in Swiss or European budget accommodation. There was a common room with TV, internet, and a big library of DVD’s. The bed was comfortable and the bedding appeared to be brand new. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was an experience and among the best I had on my two-month trip. My favorite thing about the Rossli, however was Jean Louis who, with a pleasantly dry sense of humor, goes out of his way every day to make his guests feel welcome. The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from the western train station right next to the very center of town so just about everything is within about a five-minute walk including restaurants and supermarkets. The eastern train station is a pleasant 15 minute walk. Food is not allowed in the rooms but there is no objection to having a beer or eating on the porch, even my pungent goat-cheese.

Jean Louis and Christopher were outstanding hotel proprietors! I felt like I was leaving family because they could not have been friendlier, more accommodating, more wonderful in every aspect! This was by far the most welcoming of ALL the hotels we stayed in in Switzerland (6 in all)! Kudos to everyone!

Excellent location, rooms fairly spartan but clean and comfortable. Good value for the price. The breakfast was nice and cheerfully served. Good for visiting the area but not the kind of place I would stay for romance.

The Hotel is clean and the manager goes out of his way to make you comfortable. He gets up early to make espresso for the guests. I would stay here again.

Excellent Stay at Hotel Rossli. The Hotel is very close to the shopping area and just 400 meters from the interlaken west railway station. The hotel is run by a family Jean louis and his son Christopher, they are extremely friendly and always willing to help. Especially the breakfast time is when Jean is there to personally welocme you and share his views and experiences with you. You can be assured of PERSONAL ATTENTION during your stay over here. The rooms are neat and have all the required amenities. All in all we had an excellent stay here and will recommend this for you

The hotel is great, the owner is the funniest person ever! He is also very polite and was willing to help us with everything. I would definantley stay at this hotel again. Room number 5 from Goiania.

It is the staff that make this place. Incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is slightly dated but the facilities are good and it is very clean and comfortable. Would certainly stay here again every time.

We stayed at Rossli hotel during our skiing holidays for almost all week - and felt like home there! Cozy local place, country style, extremely friendly staff (we will always remember Jean Louis' cheerful "good morning, people!!"), excellent location, comfortable beds, rich home-made breakfast - you will never find these small but important details in big and faceless hotels. If you miss home atmosphere during your stay abroad - then Rossli is just the right place for you :) Jovile&Jurgis, Lithuania

good things: attention of the staff (small family hotel) bad things: room was very cold one night in december - heaters didn't work at all after 22:00. next day heater worked, but not hot enough to consider it comfortable - nothing could be done with it.

Very welcoming hotel with extremely friendly staff. Hotel was a little outdated but the room was big and came with a balcony with a great view of the alps.

Great location short walk from train station West. Friendly and helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Would go back.

If you're after a simple well run hotel, then choose Hotel Rossli. Family run with a great attitude to help with anything you ask for.

Family run hotel, simple decor, but quality experience. Great fondue place just up the road, and the hotel is only minutes from Interlaken Ost.
