The Alpenrose is a family-run hotel in the picturesque village of Wilderswil, only 2 miles/3 km from Interlaken. The most beautiful destinations in the Bernese Highlands are easily accessible from the accommodation by train, or car, and the train station is a mere 3-minute walk away.
The Alpenrose Hotel near Interlaken is the ideal starting point for excursions, hiking tours, and sport of all kinds, at any time of the year. Excursions to the Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, or Piz Gloria, or a boat trip on Lake Thun and Lake Brienz are just some of the numerous options for a day trip. Moreover, the imposing Trümmelbach Waterfall, the St. Beatus Caves, the Aare Gorge, and the open air museum of Ballenberg are just a short bus, or train ride away. Wilderswil is also an ideal starting point for a skiing holiday in the Jungfrau winter sports region.

From Berne, or Lucerne: take a train to Interlaken Ost. There, change for the Berner-Oberland train, which takes you to the Wilderswil station in only 5 minutes.
