Hotel Alpenblick - Wilderswil, Interlaken

We stayed for 6 nights at the Alpenblick. All round it is a very pleasant hotel. However, early morning noise from the room above was a bit anoying. Also, we sat outside the Alpenblick one evening and waited 20 minutes for someone to come and serve us - no one did, so we went down the road to the Baeren where we were served immediately. Food in Alpenblick restaurant remained untried as it was to expensive for us.

My wife and I were travelling in and old car which had a problem, the staff were very helpful in finding a suitable garage to sort the problem. Make sure you ask to eat in the main dining room as opposed to the package holiday upstairs dining area. Short walk to station. We would stay again.

We felt like we stayed at small local Swiss home. The place is homy style decorated. The facility was good. The lady owner's very kind with very high service mind oriented. When she realized we're gonna miss our train, she drove us to the train station herself. We're impressed with her hospitality.

The room was very very small. The hotel loked not safe. The public areas where very small and the hotel looked not safe in case of fire.

We did not feel too welcome at the hotel. There was a girl at the desk who was very officious and made us feel as though we were bothering her. We were given a map upon check in, which we lost somehow, and when we asked for another one, we were told that we already were given one. There was a pile of them on the counter and my husband took one, and felt as though he was stealing. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, and it was very expensive. We ate elsewhere. The hotel gives a card so that you can take the train into Interlaken for free, which was nice.

I was very desapointed of the fact that WC and shower were in the common corridor and not in the room ; I would prefer to know that before, and I would take a superior room

This hotel is a little out of the way, but it offers nice accommodation in a family-run environment. Breakfast is very good, and for anyone with allergies it is clean, and staff are helpful. Pack a good raincoat (just in case) and walking shoes if you don't have a car.

Beautiful surroundings. It snowed on Memorial Day!

What a delightful place. Would definately return and bring other with us. Have recommended to others already. The only thing is 800 meters is along way uphill. there is the local bus that stops just around the corner from the hotel and it much easier to us than the steep walk. Good home base if staying in the area. Bus and train both from Interlaken only 5-10 minute trip.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 superb nights. The staff were very friendly and happy to offer advice / bookings for activities around the area. The restaurant hotel is an absolute must! I am quite fussy with my food, but the food served in the restaurant was perfect. Easily one of the best restaurants I have been to. The service was also outstanding. The buffet breakfast was also the best breakfast we had out of the 10 different hotels we stayed at during our whole holiday.

Pleasant, well run hotel very convenient for exploring the Jungfrau railway system and many local attractions. Good value "Half-board" dinner but the "a la carte" restaurant is even better...excellent food.

Very good service, both before and after arrival. Very quaint facility which we all appreciated. Excellent location and very well kept facility. We enjoyed the dinner there but our waitress did not go out of her way to serve us. We had to request things multiple times. Otherwise, everyone was wonderful and I'd recommend the Alpenblick to others as a great way to immerse yourself into the feeling of being in a true swiss mountain environment. Gene Blair
