The best position in Innsbruck. Clean modern rooms. If Bringing a car email or ring first and find out about parking which is off site. I am not sure if the hotel employs the restaurant staff, but the restaurant staff need to improve their service;we visitors might only be tourists but their sense of superiority is not well founded

A very nice hotel in the heart of old town. Provides also easy access to the Congress Innsbruck which is convenient for people attending conferences. The morning traffic at the square disturbs slightly if one's room window is towards the main road. Not an issue, anyway.

Pros: Very beautiful hotel located in the core of Innsbruck. Large, very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Free breakfast with several options ranging from bacon & eggs to fruit cocktail to pastries. Free internet. Quiet. In the eleven cities in five European countries that we have visited this was our favourite hotel. Cons: NONE

Very nice hotel, perfect location in the heart of Innsbruck, very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed there twice. For the first time had a very spacious room, for the second time the room was really tiny (for the same price), but no complaints about cleanliness and service.

There were some disappointments i.e. the bathroom was not as clean as it might have been. There was no lounge on the ground floor for hotel guests. You either sat in a cafe, in door or outdoor, or a stuebel which is like a wine bar. But in all these places one had the impression that you had to consume something to sit there. Perhaps I was mistaken. Also, the food in the cafe was not as good as the description on the menu lead one to believe. Furthermore, on the first morning I came down for breakfast, at about 20 minutes before the allotted breakfast time was over and there were no tables cleared of crockery etc for guests to sit at. I was the second in the queue. When I expressed my sympathy to the woman clearing the tables, who seemed to be distracted with another activity for a little while before she could get to clearing the tables, she was most unfriendly. I tackled her on this point and told her that she had my sympathy but that they really needed more staff working in the breakfast room in the mornings rather than sending all their waiters to serve in the outdoor cafe. She still seemed quite unresponsive, may be because she was part of the administration. I think it is a very interesting hotel and has been lovingly restored with some really interesting features but for the price one would expect a lounge to sit in.

Location is great although for guests arriving by own car, street access for off-loading suitcases and parking is rather inconvenient. On the positive side and which made our stay memorable was the unexpected and very kindly informed upgrade to the Mozart Suite. The hotel has a good mix of the formal and informal. However it's clearly not for the low budget traveller.

Employees are superb - paricularly Uli on reception - got my girlfriend a taxi to the hospital, Thank you Uli. Downside - rooms are a little on the small side and the hotel is screaming out for a bar away from the main restaurant. But food is great, location is superb, and is a very clean place

Restaurant: Food taste and quality was mediocre, not what expected by local guest from Insbruck and from ourself. The service in Restaurant for dinner was very very poor. Aperitiv was forgotten. My wife ordered wine (she is winegrower) but wine was given to me for tasting. (this is a no-go) I had to ask 4 different waiters 4 times for a bottle of mineral water. Wine has not been top up. Table has only been uncovered after complaint. Rooms and Reception: If you dont eat here, you can stay at a nice hotel. Don't got to the restaurant!

We stayed only the 1 night...location is in the old part so ideal in that regard.the room was modern and ok however the bathroom was like a class partition from the bedroom which was offputting and the door to the shower leaked which then swamped the bathroom with water.the breakfast was forgettable with breakfast staff not really interestedin helping

Historic and charming hotel in the heart of the old town. The staff were most welcoming and the food was very good. The public areas have many interesting historical features, and each bedroom is named after a notable historic person who has stayed in it. Street noise can be a bit of a problem in the late evening and early mornings, as it is right in the centre.

The restaurant was slightly disappointing. Not as good as I had been led to believe from the other reviews. It was good but not great, and rather expensive. There were better local restaurants nearby. Apart from that we were very happy. Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Very helpful and informative concierge service. The room was very spacious! It's a lovely old hotel.

I travelled with my teenage daughter on Dec 17th for 3 nights. Hotel was very central, extremely welcoming ..very cosy ,warm rooms very spacious. Staff very helpful esp with public transport to get to local villages. Definately buy the Innsbruck Pass...saved us a fortune esp.on the ski lifts which were well worth it for the views..we did not ski. Very cheap and convenient to get the airport bus from by the Congress Centre...brilliant trip, hotel ace...breakfast not inspiring but that is just being picky.Free internet was a definate bonus too.

What a delight to arrive at this hotel - in the centre of the old town and with rooms and service I'd usually expect at a 5* hotel. We loved the bathroom goodies - nail kits, make-up remover kits, as well as the usual fare - and a delicious chocolate left on our pillows! Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant. We didn't try their interesting evening menu as my daughter is semi-vegetarian which they didn't seem to cater for. Staff were always cheerful and helpful. We only stayed here 2 nights but wish it had been for longer!

Every item on this review gets a well deserved score of 10. The hotel is impressive and grand. The star rating of 4 should probably be a 5. Very well located , the staff made us feel special from start to finish and were very courteous. The public areas and floors have magnificent art work and artefacts. Fantastic.

I was very pleased with the Goldener Adler. Having not been to Innsbruck before, I really had to rely on my maps to find a convenient location to stay. The Adler was in the most perfect spot and very convenient. To be honest, when I booked it, I was not sure of the location, but upon arrival was very pleased. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. I felt totally comfortable. While the room was quite small, I knew that would be the case and was prepared.
