Hotel Batzenhäusl - Igls, Innsbruck

Old style hotel in Igls, 15min by car to Innsbruck, the rooms are provided with old style furniture, nice. the wellness is not as good as expected, the small whirpool is not free. breakfast is included even if not highlighted in the reservation.

Very beautyfull and sweet hotel, full of nature around and not so far from city, the room are great...

Excellent hotel

The rooms were spacious and quietness, with a balcony and the views were wonderful. We did'nt Know Igls and we liked it very much. El hotel es muy bonito y muy cuidado, altamente recomendable por su proximidad a Innsbruck.

Some staff don't speak proper German which is a bit odd in Tyrol. Credit card facilities didn't work. Rooms excellent.

The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious - We got upgraded to a suite and had wonderful views out the front of the hotel. It was excellent value for money and we would go there again and recommend it to others. The only critism I have was of the breakfast which represented poor choice and value at 11 Euros per person. We dined in the A La Carte restaurant one night and the food was very good as was the service. The hotel is well located for the local ski slopes and cafes.

The owner and most of the employees are russian.Nothing against this, but you can forget austrian typical atmosphere and austrian cuisine.Very odd food and this is a problem especialy for children.Too expensive for the services provided.

Great location, not too near or too far from downtown Innsbruck. Had a suite, nice set up with lots of room. Great local bus service with a stop only a couple hundred meters from hotel. Staff recommended the "Innsbruck Daily Pass" which offered discounted entrance fees and free public transportation to the major Innsbruck tourist sites including (the Olympic ski jump tower, the Schloss and the Swarowski crystal factory - definitely a good value as the transportation costs alone - if you go to all the sites is worth it). Staff was friendly, good English abilities; provided maps and tips on attractions to visit. Fall is a great time of year to go, very nice weather, very clear view of mountains and the sun is great up on the peaks.

We had a double room with a small balcony overlooking the back forest. The dinner was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and with much variety. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This is an old family run hotel with many personal family touches. The area is on the top of a hill overlooking the forest and near Innsbruck. There is a ski lift near by, and a small old fashioned train through the woods to go down to Innsbruck. This was our first time in Igls -- hope to be back again. The Austrian Tiorl is magnificient.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly, helpful people. The food is better than excellent. I plan on returning.

The Batzenhausl was an outstanding hotel, well worth the stay. The location was breathtaking, located in Igls a short distance outside of Innsbrusk with easy access to the city by bus or a scenic tram ride through the woods. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The suite was very large with a large bathroom, great shower and towels. Very picturesque hotel and surroundings. Many common rooms (game room, library, large patio on second floor, whirlpool, sauna, etc.). For casual dining recommend walking down the street to the Gasthaus Milchstuberl - outstanding variety of meal and dessert options. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the Batzenhausl and Igls area.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. They spoke very good English and made you feel very welcome. Food was excellent and so were the rooms.

The hotel is excellent - the only thing is that while we conttinue the trip we realized that there are very cheap alternatives to good hotles in Austria - the ZIMMER. But still, a very good hotel!

Nice stay and quite easy to find. Wonderful views and very comfortable.
