We stayed at Alp Art Hotel for Christmas 2010. The staff, especially Denise, were so welcoming and helpful we felt like we were part of the family. The 2 bedroom family apartment we had was fantastic for us and our two teenagers, with plenty of room and a kitchenette, and we could do our washing downstairs. The meals were wonderful, especially the Christmas Eve and Christmas night special meals, and they had no problem catering for a dairy-free diet. The location in the village of Goetzens was great, with the ski lift just up the road and Innsbruck a bus ride away. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel.

The Hotel is near to Innsbruck so it is a very good place to use in the Christmas time when the city is crouded. When you arrive they serve you hot wine to make you warm! The girl at the reception is nice, professional and she gives you a lot of info about the town, places, and traditions. The breckfast is huge in a nice room surrounded by a wonderful landscape! A small SPA is also included. Do you want somethingh more from your life? marco

I absolutely loved this hotel! It had a ton of character, wonderful amenities (free bikes, free hiking tours), a great bar attached, excellent breakfast included, the views were wonderful (my room had a walkout balcony), the staff friendly and helpful, spacious rooms. And you couldn't beat the price. Some may have an issue with the location being in Gotzens...it is about a 10 min bus ride from downtown Innsbruck. However I liked the fact it was removed from the downtown area.

The hotel changed names between the time we booked and the time we arrived for vacation. The receptionist was very nice and upgraded our room because they were not very busy. It was a beautiful room with a wonderful view. Unfortunately, there was some kind of holiday on the morning we were sleeping. They were shooting off the cannon on the hill. The the church bells started ringing at 5am. Then there was some kind of siren ringing. I just wish we had known! We thought we needed to evacuate! Overall, a beautiful hotel with very nice staff. Also, the breakfast buffet was delicious with many choices.

Excellent place to stay with great service. It really is more than you pay for. The building itself is quite picturesque and what you might think of in terms of an Alp hotel/chalet. The rooms were a bit cramped, but the beds were extremely comfortable. Two bus stops right nearby to take you in to Innsbruck and the view from the balcony is outstanding, very picturesque. A great place to stay.

Fantastic personalised service, cannot get better. Denise at the front desk was outstanding and helped us with ski-hire including clothing that was unavailable in the wider gotzens area (MAKE SURE YOU BRING SKI-GEAR)We were offered staff clothes to ski -. Also say hi to Gunter who is the husband of the proprieter who also operates a ski-hire at another family owned hotel 'Gotzenshoff'. Absolute gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. One thing....nightclub downstairs - duff-duff till early hours, if you can't beat them join them.

The interior of this hotel was interesting. When you first find the hotel the entrance is deceiving because it's in what seems like a store front. The room was spacious enough, but the bathroom was not very modern.

I'm a pilot and have spent 15 full years of my life living in hotel rooms around the world so have experienced just about everything. I selected this property because of it's quaintness and was not dissappointed in the least. The room we had was actually 4 rooms in all, plus 2 bathrooms so very spacious for the 4 of us with 3 large decks to sit out on and enjoy the fantastic vistas. The village church was a real treasure to view, incredibly ornate. The only snag was one of the shower controls was broken but not big problem. The staff were very friendly, efficient and accomodating, the breakfast superb. Beautiful old pine hand crafted furniture. The surrounding village and countryside were beautiful and only a short 10 min. drive into Innsbruck. If you want to experience some true "Bavaria", I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay, the staff were very helpful and spoke english (which was great due to our limited german). We were upgraded when we arrived and our apartment had 3 bedrooms and a living area, bathroom and toilet. There was a fridge but no microwave for heating bottles but the staff assisted us with that also. There is no elevator but as it is only 3 floors it isn't really an issue. We all really enjoyed it and the views out the windows were fantastic. It is a gorgeous little town.
