exterior Hotel El Corso exterior The wonderful hotel El Corso is located in the Bahía de Ibiza Bay, with excellent views over Ibiza's old town, the Dalt Vila and the Puerto de Botafoc harbour.

The Talamanca beach is just 200 metres away, and a few steps from the hotel guests will find the El Corso boat, which connects regularly the property with the city centre in just 10 minutes.

El Corso hotel offers a wide variety of services, including a 24-hour front desk, a spacious lounge area, a restaurant buffet, a bar, a conference room with a capacity of up to 100 people, a tennis court, entertainment programme, an outdoor swimming pool for adults and for children, live music, a souvenir shop and a solarium area.

My boyfriend and I (professionals both in our early 30's) stayed at Hotel El Corso because it was the only decent looking option we had left in our price range that was in Ibiza town. The hotel offers very basic accommodation for what we considered an expensive price (although I'm told this is the norm for peak season). We paid 184 euros per night for 4 nights. Although the linen, towels, beds and decor were worn and tired, we can probably still say our stay was 'okay'. The aircon worked a treat - no complaints there, we had a view of the marina so we were spoilt with the outlook and breakfast was included. In fact, the highlight of our stay ended up being the breakfast! Had it not been for that, we may have been grumpy all day at our choice in hotel. Our advice would be to have low expectations so you can't be disappointed. To be fair, the pool is lovely and the hotel, whilst not in the heart of Ibiza town, you can easily take a mini ferry from the marina (opposite the hotel) to get there, which takes 15 minutes, or alternatively walk half an hour. For a special occassion, I'd avoid this hotel, however, for a group of mates looking for a quiet place to crash after a night out on the town -or a couple looking for basic accommodation, this would be the place to stay.

Hotel is a 20 min walk from Ibiza town, which is great before and after dinner. There are also a few interesting restaurants closer by. My room was without a view but renovated and spacious (and very good value.) Breakfast was included and also above average. It's not a cozy boutique hotel but I would stay there again at that rate and can recommend this hotel for any type of budget concious traveller.
