A delightful small hotel 3 minutes walk from the old town centre.The room was quite small,but clean,comfortable,well-equipped and the copious breakfast set us up for the day. The proprietor was extremely welcoming and friendly and always available to offer advice on what to see in and around Hyères and good restaurants,which enabled us to make the most of our stay and enjoy some very good meals: particularly at 'L'Ardoise',4 minutes walk from the hotel. The public gardens above the hotel and the (pedestrianised)old town are within a very short walk and well worth a visit, as is the island of Porquerolles a little further afield. It was a very good value-for-money hotel,very newly updated to comply with the latest safety regulations, and we will certainly use it again. Un accueuil très sympa à notre arrivée par une propriétaire qui a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour très agréable. Une bonne chambre confortable et bien équipée, conforme aux nouvelles normes de sécurité,un petit déjeuner copieux,le tout d'un bon rapport qualité/prix. En plus de bonnes idées pour visiter Hyères et ses alentours,et des conseils sur les bons restaurants à 4 minutes à pied. Bref, tout ce qu'il fallait pour passer un séjour très agréable. Nous y retournerons.

This is a small hotel, with very standardised rooms and even smaller en suite bathrooms, with no parking at all in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast is served next door. We got a good welcome though, and the manager also gave us a restaurant recommendation, which was good.

I was there in January. Excellent quality/price ratio. very quiet, very nice (large enough, though not too much) room, very poetic view of the sea and islands (I was on third floor). If you like to have a little walk and not too much dependent on car (no very close parking, since it's in the old city part) no problem at all

Hotel du Soleil is very nice and clean but rooms are little. Owners are very nice and helpful. On our arrival we received the main door key so we could come back at any time in the night. Breakfast (included in price) is very good. You can drink coffee, white coffee, chocolate and tea and you can eat croissant, bread, rusks, jam and nutella. BUT: There’s just one socket per room (not enough if you have mobiles, camera, video camera, hairdryer…). There’s no lift. Hotel is a long way from beaches and port. Hotel lies in a district of immigrants. We (two quite young girls) didn’t feel safe and unfortunately we had to park 5-10 minutes by foot from the hotel (hotel has no private parking places). Anyway impressions are positive and if I couldn’t find any free rooms in the centre, I would stay there again.

In France people unfortunately smoke everywhere. The room had a definite smell, very cold outside otherwise it wouldn´t have been a problem..
