Am quite happy with our stay at The Hotel The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong. The place is just a few steps away from the Bus Station, the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, where you can watch the nightly Show of the Symphony of Lights, the Tsim Sha Tsui Station, a Catholic Church, Nathan Road, the Kowloon Park, the HK Cultural Center and Museums and the major shopping centers. Even going to Hong Kong Central is not a problem. We also found the staff quite efficient and courteous. We arrived at about 12:30 a.m. but the guard and the reception staff was very alert and cordial. The request for additional bed for our second night was also well attended from the time we booked, to check-in, to actual implementation. Checking out was also brief and well attended including the accommodation for temporary left luggage. I would surely book again in this hotel on my future travels to Hong Kong, and would even recommend it to friends.

fantastic location, with fabulous views from harbourview rooms.A real gem.....don't be put off by YMCA misconceptions...this is full of all types of people who want good service and an ideal location. Will definitely go back!!!

The Salisbury is everything you could want from a Hong Kong hotel. Only wish we had been able to book for the New Year as well but was full, not suprising given location. The hotel is just next door to Peninsular Hotel and Star Ferry terminal. The restaurants were very good value, afternoon tea in 4th floor lounge was a buffet that included everything from cake,scones and jam to noodles and curry, for the price of a cup of tea in the Penisular, the restaurant was beautifully furnished with views over the Hong Kong Harbour to the Peak.

How to reach Hotel The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong

By bus
A 24-seater coach is available for HK$130 per person. This is a door-to-door coach service from the Airport to the hotel, which takes approximately 45 minutes. This service may also be used to return to the Airport. To use the coach service pass through customs and contact the kiosk counter labeled Airport Hotelink, which is located at A1 (opposite to exit A) or B1 (opposite to exit B). Please do not pay the kiosk counter or the driver. The charge will be included in your room bill. The service is available from 6.15 a.m. to 12.15 a.m. Fare may vary without prior notice.

By train
Shuttle buses are available free of charge at Kowloon Station from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Please take the route K3 and get off at The Kowloon Hotel (1st stop) which is across the street from The Salisbury.

By airplane
The Airport Rail Express takes about 15 minutes from the Airport to Kowloon Station. It operates from 6 a.m. to midnight, with trains leaving every 8 minutes. The fare is HK$90 (may vary without prior notice). Shuttle buses are available free of charge at Kowloon Station from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Please take the route K3 and get off at The Kowloon Hotel (1st stop) which is across the street from The Salisbury.

By taxi
For approximately HK$285 and HK$5 for each parcel of luggage, a taxi can drive you from the Airport to The Salisbury. The taxi ride should take about 35 minutes.

The hotel features 2 ample conference & banqueting rooms and 14 smaller meeting rooms ranging from 200 to 4,365 square feet, with the latest audio-visual equipments and facilities to cater a large variety of different business events.

The meeting & conference facilities include P.A. sound system, cassette recorder or CD player, overhead projector with screen, slide projector with screen, laser pointer, flip chart, whiteboard with marker pens, writing pads and pencils.

In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-in: the rooms are available at any time after 2 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than midday.

Use of Internet connection costs HK$40 for 4 hours and HK$80 for the whole day. Prices may vary without prior notice.
Use of Internet Point costs HK$1 every minute for minimum 15 minutes.
