Marin Dream Hotel - Heraklion

Great location, and our room had a balcony with sea views. Staff were helpful and the hotel is a few minutes walk to the bus station and ferry terminal.

Breakfast with good variety is in the rooftop restaurant (where we also had a late-night pizza) overlooking the port. It is convenient to the port and one of two bus stations and is accessible by municipal bus from the airport, but that bus stop is not a convenient walk. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Rooms have option of wifi or ethernet cable. Room is small. Bathrm has the typical Greek, cramped shower.

Excellent hotel at good price, next to the main bus station and the port, at a short walking distance of the city centre, although the closest surrounding is less nice. Beautiful breakfast terrace with port view. Good rooms, with rather good noise isolation (despite the noise of the planes taking off from the airport). Perfect hotel for a stay of a few nights in Heraklion.

It was a good hotel, it is near to central square, bus station, archeological museum, best shops, restaurants, also have an excellent view of the sea, it´s perfect to go any where.- If you rent a car you don´t have problem to park, free.-

The Marin Dream is well located - an easy walk to the centre of the city and close to the bus station for trips to Knossos and other parts of the island. Our room overlooked the Venetian fort and harbour. Breakfast was substantial with plenty of choice. Internet was available free in the foyer.

As a lone female traveller I was very impressed by the friendly welcome from the hotel receptionist. The breakfast room on the top floor gives a great view of the harbour area and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel is a short distance from the ferry terminal, taxi rank, buses and the main tourist area. I recommend it.

Great location in the city center and walking distance to the port (several ferries to Greek mainland and islands).

Very nice hotel - clean, modern bathroom; nice size room for a single traveler. very close to all the historical sites in Heraklion. Rooftop breakfast buffet was outstanding - great food and an even better view. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is lovely and the view is magical over the harbour. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. The free internet service and the generous breakfast portions were a bonus. The only problem is that if you have your own car then you can forget about parking anywhere near the hotel. Taxi it in to the hotel or else spend your day looking for parking.

Very modern, clean rooms, upgraded bath ammenities with balconies and terraces. Rooms are smallish but not tiny. Air conditioning worked well. Very secure. Free internet in lobby, as well as a small bar. Breakfast, included, was good. Rooms facing the main street can be noisy at night as there are three clubs/taverns up the street that if the music doesn't bother you, the noise of motor bikes and cars zipping around the street from the club patrons will. Ask for a room in back. Overall, great comfortable hotel. Parking is nearly impossible on the streets and there are very few, and small, lots to park (usually full).

The bathrooms are tiny and uncomfortable. all other facilities and hotel personnel were reasonable.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all Marin Dream Hotel staff for one unforgetable stayed. Our requested needs were fully attended, making this hotel a perfect option for my honeymoon. The hotel is very well located, minutes walk from the ferry harbor, bus station and Heraklion main streets. The view to the fortress is amazing and what a cozy terrace!!! Internet access is free and quite reliable. Therefore, I need to thank Marin Dream for helping me making my dream come true.

Rooms on the front can suffer noise from the harbour road so I would definitely carry ear plugs if staying again on a Friday/Saturday night. I also stayed for another night a week later, and had a room away from the front which backed on to a pedestrian street, which did not experience this problem.
