We stayed one night and the owner was very helpful. We met him on the way to the hotel and he walked us back to the hotel and checked us in. My husband was not feeling well and he made tea and a cake for him for free. They have upgraded the windows, new air conditioning and painted. The shared bathroom is small but very adequate for the hotel and price.

From reading the reviews at venere.com and the prices, we did not expect very much, but it was actually nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly, service minded and helpfull. Pictures at WEB site are very realistic. Yes, the basement is not very nice as breakfast room, but then again, what do you expect at 3½ Euros pr. person ? Worst problem was actually, that the hotel was quite difficult to find, and proper (detailed) maps of Hekraklion hard to get. Parking was also difficult, but we knew that and simply parked the car whereever we could, continued on feet, asked our way and picked up the luggage later. We can definetely recommend this hotel as a low budget alternative if you can live with the level of comfort and just need to stay 1 or 2 nights.

It was a great hotel. We (3 of us) were only going to stay 2 nights, but we extended our stay to four night. It was clean. The rooms were a little small, but all we did was sleep there. They also got us a great price on a rental car. The hotel is in a good location because it is a short distance from the Lion Fountain. I would recommend it and would stay there agian. The best part about the hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and had great recommendations on where to eat and where to go. The staff really made the hotel great.

We stayed 3 nights. The first night, they gave us a very tiny room, just behind the counter desk, on the ground floor and near the street. It was very noisy. We had to ask to change room for the following nights. The second room was larger and quieter, anyway there was no sound insulation and we could still hear all the noises from inside the hotel. Furniture and bathroom are very old, the shower is small and with no curtain. Breakfast is served in a basement room with no window at all.

I was impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the owner's young brother and sister who run the hotel. The hotel is in a very quiet area, only 5 minutes from the very center of Heraklion, from mini-markets and lots of bistros and restaurants. I stayed in a double room with WC and shower on the same floor.

We stood at this hotel only for one night. it is in the centre close to port and main square in heraklio. But we had a room straight on the road and since no ac is available we had to leave window open which made all the street sounds seem as if they were happening inside, even very late at night.

We would recommend this hotel only for a short stay in Iraklio due to spaciousness of rooms and hotel surroundings. Also, the directions from the port to hotel were not clear and it took us 1 hour to find the hotel. On the contrary, the hotel receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

An excellent budget hotel, near to city centre and 4 Lions Square. Clean with friendly staff. No hot water at sink, but hot shower very good. Room clean and ready. Ate out so no comment on breakfast. 400m from bus stop, but not easy to spot first time as hotel not on Handakos street so asking directions did not help, although it was clearly visible as we walked down Handakos street. Street names easy to read, most also in english.

Rooms and forniture don't look nice but its clean and close to all attractions. We asked for a double bed but they gave us 1 and half size one. It was too small for 2 people and the same was for sheets and blankets. Its is a bit expensive too for the kind of hotel it is.
