The GDM Megaron hotel is a unique and exclusive hotel, ideally located in the heart of the business and shopping district of Heraklion, on the island of Crete. The structure overlooks the old harbour and is within walking distance of the archeological and historical museums.
The hotel's relaxing atmosphere is provided by the subtle blend of modern and luxuriously decorated interiors.

The elegantly decorated rooms consist of executive twins and doubles, VIP rooms and junior suites.
Executive rooms offer a choice between rooms with land or sea view while VIP rooms all have a balcony with a magnificent uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean.
All of the hotel's accommodations feature the latest facilities such as private ISDN direct telephone line with voice mail, satellite TV, ADSL Internet access, safety deposit box, mini bar, soundproof windows, air conditioning, sprinklers and smoke detectors.

Nice welcoming by a very competent staff. The food - especially the breakfast - was excellent and reasonably prized. The hotel has a great location and it’s very convenient with the bus and taxi station next-door. We had a splendid view of the harbour from our room. This is a hotel we would like to return to - recommendable!

Very helpful staff and great location. Recommended an excellent downtown restaurant. Also, they held our luggage for us while we took the ferry to Santorini for two days and then returned to the hotel. Excellent location for taking a ferry to other islands, and close to airport. Great rooftop bar! We would return.

Hotel room did not have Air Condition , they told me the system had changed over to winter and most people wanted heating not cooling (The ouside air temp was 24c !!) Also the telephone in the room did not work and could not order any room service. Overhaul very disapointed with the GDM Megaron, I was paying 135 Euros per night and moved out after my 2nd night across the road and had much better service all for onlu 69 Euros per night. This Hotel is way over rated. I did complain but they did not blink an eyelid !! My GRADE 3/10

How to reach Hotel GDM Megaron
By car
From the main road, follow the indications to the city of Heraklion, from there follow the signs to Stelios Kazantzidis. Once you have reached Stelios Kazantzidis turn right at the traffic lights, where you will find the hotel after 1 km on your left hand side.
By boat
There are daily ferry and high-speed ferry services connecting Heraklion to Athen's port of Piraeus.
By airplane
From the Nikos Kazantzakis airport, the complex is easily reachable. Leaving the airport, take the first exit to the right towards Heraklion city and follow this direction for approximately 2 km. At Stelios Kazantzidis turn right at the traffic lights. After following this road for approximately 1 km you will find the GDM Megaron hotel on your left hand side.
