The hotel, really a gasthaus, captures the character of the old university town that it serves. Great atmosphere, good food, good conversation with staff and other guests, great beer. I had not been in Heidelberg in 35 years and it was good to get back.Thank you for a great time.

really unpleasant situation at checkout. Check had been calculated for 2 person, since for an hotel employees error they signed another person to my room (also if the room was a single room). When I said I was alone (..and anyway it'd be impossible to stay in 2 in the assigned room..really small and a single bed)..the hotel owner continued for long time to say I was telling lies..instead they made the error..really unkindly!!

From the BAB5 Frankfurt-Basel highway, exit at 'Heidelberg'. Then follow signs to the city centre and drive along the river until the Old Bridge.
By public transportation
From Heidelberg main station, take the bus n.35, following the Neckargemünd direction. Get off at the old bridge.
