Hotel Molkenkur Café - Heidelberg

No heating in the rooms or hot water and no extra pillows or duvets even asking. No marketing effort for the inconvenience. We did not stay two days for which we had reserved. The cable car near the hotel does not work at night.

Radbahn up the Mountain does'nt run after 5 PM; (Oct) taxi 8 to 12 Euros; Call taxi minivan after 8.10 only from Bismark square, NOT from old town, every hour, call 20 30 20, half hour before.Did not have b'fast Even with double doors walls very thin re Hall Noise... The Cook gave very good info how to Drive to Theatre,Polizei very helpful getting back afterdark

Good hotel with a great view, however wireless internet was not available in room as was advertised. Otherwise nice stay.

I spent more than some friends of mine which have done the booking directly, without venere.com and I dislike this fact a lot.

Excellent location if you go by car. Excellent view. Recommend arrive with daylight.

Good location to be close to the historic city center, via funicular rail. Do need car to get to the hotel, up in hills, with a beautiful view of city and river.

Although the staff were friendly, it was hard to find them. The hall ways looked like a prison facility, and the lights were always out. The location is pretty, but it is not easy to get to Altstadt and back to the Cafe after 8:20pm, which cuts your night life short. The walls are paper thin and you could hear the neighbors all night long.

Stayed here in early July 2006. Strong recommendation to use this facility - good value with no surprises. Be sure to get a detailed map and directions before looking for this location. A little hard to find, but worth it.
