Hotel Molkenkur Café is a charming property located next to the old city of Heidelberg, in a panoramic position providing a beautiful view over the city and the Neckar river valley.
The hotel stands on the ruins of the ancient castle of Heidelberg, which was first mentioned in 1225 A.D. and was destroyed by a lightning on April 25th, 1537 A.D.

Good hotel with a great view, however wireless internet was not available in room as was advertised. Otherwise nice stay.

Good location to be close to the historic city center, via funicular rail. Do need car to get to the hotel, up in hills, with a beautiful view of city and river.

Although the staff were friendly, it was hard to find them. The hall ways looked like a prison facility, and the lights were always out. The location is pretty, but it is not easy to get to Altstadt and back to the Cafe after 8:20pm, which cuts your night life short. The walls are paper thin and you could hear the neighbors all night long.

How to reach Hotel Molkenkur Café
By car
Take the A5 highway to the Heidelberg junction and exit onto the A656 towards Heidelberg. Once in Heildberg city centre, follow signs to Altstadt-Schloss, pass the main train station, then Adenauerplatz, and drive through a short tunnel. Turn right onto Klingenteichstr 400 metres after the tunnel towards Königsstuhl and keep going straight ahead for 1 km. At a sharp right curve, you will see a sign to the Molkenkur hotel on the left, turn left and enter the parking lot.
