Our room overlooked the river and the old bridge... a beautiful view. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The hotel is within a short walk to the main shopping street, the Christmas markets, the historic churches, and the wonderful walking path along the river. Ideally situated. Any hotel along the river is going to have street noise, but we didn't mind. Parking is located close to the hotel (a bit complicated to drive to; best to follow the signs to Parking 12 - P12). With the hotel stamp, parking costs 8 euro for 24 hours. We skipped the hotel breakfast and found a nice local cafe. We would definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the 'old town' and front rooms have a great view over the river and 'old bridge'. It was the only hotel we stayed in were breakfast wasn't included and the business breakfast was disappointing but the buffet provided many options.

Good room, clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and a baby cot. Very friendly staff. Small, single sized comforters but this seems to be the norm in Europe. Fantastic location - easy walk to the old part of the city. We plan to come back.

What a great place to stay. The location was great, we had a room looking out to the old bridge and a minutes walk to the old town. The reception service was excellent and very helpful, and the breakfasts were good. Reduced rate parking was available from the Hotel in a Parkhaus in the town. Loved our stay and would recommend to others.

A perfect place to stay. We were en-route from Holland to Italy and wanted to stay somewhere good. Heidelberg is a wonderful place and this was a great place to stay and appreciate the city . We were overlooking a sidestreet (with a great bar, the Schnookeloch) but it was a little noisy at night. In hot weather an air-conditioned room could be desirable.

An absolutely beautiful hotel, with incredibly nice and knowledgable staff. The location is excellent, being right on the Neckar river, steps from the old bridge and the main street with all of the cafes, restaurants and shops. It is also a five minute or so walk to the location that takes you up to Heidelberg Castle. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean, slightly on the small side in comparison to hotels in North America, but excellent compared to many hotels I have stayed at in Europe. They were also very accommodating with change of plans. My friend who stayed with me had to leave a day earlier and they willingly changed the room for the second night to a single so it was less expensive. I arrived early morning from a night train, exhausted. They made sure my room was made ready right away, before the usual noon check-in. While I waited, they brought coffee and fresh juice. A great place to stay, even for a romantic occasion, like ours. I will definately stay there again.

I was SO impressed with this hotel!! The location was ABSOLUTELY perfect (right on the river and downtown were all the action is...shopping, cafes, restaurants, pubs...everything you could ask for) and the staff were VERY friendly and helpful. I was surprised to get such an excellent location and service (as well as great rooms!!) for the price I paid...well worth it and I will definitely be returning to this hotel when I am in Heidelberg in the future.

The hotel is very nice, the location in the town is simply wonderful. The price is almost high, but I knew it. Maybe it's impossible find a cheaper hotel in the center of an historical town. The view from the windows was very good. We didn't eat in the hotel, it was a little expensive, but there was the freedom to have breakfast as we wanted, so out, in the town.

This hotel was beautiful. However, it should be for the price you are paying. It is in the best location! The bed was very comfortable and so was the bathroom. I didn't like that breakfast wasn't included in the price and it cost an extra 11 euro. The staff was also very anal about having guests in your room and made an unneccessary fuss over it. Other than that i recommend!

We were only there 1 night and would have been happy to stay longer. Park is an issue in that you have to park in a public car park about 5/8 minutes walk from the hotel but it is easy to find. Breakfasts were great. Room was very good and hotel generally was very nicely decorated. Definitely recommended.

We loved this hotel. The rooms were spotless, beds wonderful! We had an amazing view of the Neckar river from our window. The staff knew who we were when we arrived late, and even allowed us to stash our luggage there the next day so that we could look around Heidelberg. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, a real charmer! The only downside, which I think is just the difference between hotels and countries, was that you have to pay hourly for wireless internet and also pay for breakfast. We didn't know that and slept late, still ended up paying for breakfast. But that is not the hotel's fault, just wanted to put that in for those who are used to free wireless and breakfast. Otherwise if you are looking for a great hotel with a beautiful view and a great price, this is the one. Make sure you do a walk up of all the floors, each sitting area is different and really beautiful.

The location of the hotel is excellente and despite the little high price for me, it worth a while because the quality was excellent. Note: I was travelling only with my teenager soon.

The room we used has no air conditioner and so we had to open windows facing a road with a heavy traffic at night. We do not recommend to stay in hot summer.
