Hanoi Elite Hotel - Hanoi

The Hotel is located in the old quarter on a narrow road, with no traffic, and this is a good thing since the traffic in Hanoi is absolutely crazy! However, there is a loudspeaker located just outside the Hotel that at around 6am (maybe even earlier) every day except Sunday, starts announcing the daily news (obviously we did not understand what was going on and asked the receptionist). This can be very annoying! The room is quite big and has internet access in the room , but I found our room very smelly. I couldn't figure if the smell was coming from the toilet or the room itself. The road which leads to the Hotel is very dirty and muddy, however consider that the roads in Hanoi (at least in the old quarter) are very dirty anyway! Considering that we only paid 18 dollars with breakfast included it ends up as being a good deal if you stay in Hanoi for a couple of nights only. The Hotel staff was nice.

It is a very nice and cheap hotel.The staff was very polite.Good breakfast, don't forget to eat in the morning banana pancakes.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The employees were always helpful and nice. The rooms were clean and some came with internet stations in the room. The only problem we had, which was similiar to another reviewers experience, was finding the place. It is down a narrow alley that cars cannot go down. The taxi-driver tried dropping us off at what appeared to be the proper address...but the hotel was no-where to be found. We had to ask the taxi-driver to call the hotel to find the exact location (we had to insist that we were not getting out of the car until we were at the hotel.) He called, drove a few blocks down and a young kid came down an alley to get us. It was a bit confusing at first, but he helped grab our bags and took us right to our room! Once you find it, it's great!

Its a good location in the old quarter with lots of people. This is the area you want to be, if you like people hustling and bustling and a minimal night life as well. The only difficulty I had was to find the hotel. The only thing that they could add to my comfort is a small table and chair in the room and wifi access in the room. However, at this price, you can't ask for the earth. The people were really nice and gave good advice. I was trying to arrange a top end cruise for Halong Bay for $300 but the agent wanted cash since it was a last minute purchase and so I let it go. However, this hotel staff arraged a nice trip for $66, including a single air-conditioned cabin. I was the only person with air-conditioning and I guess even this was superfluous! Met some very interesting young people on the trip too.

The hotel was very convenient to the lake , several bia hois (cheep beer), bus and train services and of course shopping. When I arrived the taxi dropped me off in the wrong street but a quick call to the hotel had the manager walking a few streets to collect me. Very good service. Also advise you to use their tour service as I was ripped off by a well known travel agent clone. Free Breakfast and WiFi included. Don't know how they do it for the price! Highly recommended.

The rooms were very clean ,spacious ,well-equiped ,big window and homy... Jimmy, the manager was very helpful and enthusiatic and his staff also ,they were honest with what they have...Thank you so much Ocean Stars 2 !!!.All the travellers will arrive there .

I was very lucky to stay in Ocean Stars 2 Hotel ,i stayed in a single room ,it is very clean ,confortable. The staff and manager are super helpful,i booked every tour with them HaLong bay and Sapa trekking ,i really enjoyed and you can't beat the location - right in the heart of the Old Quarter. About a 10 minute walk from the Water Puppet Theater, among other Hanoi attractions. I've since recommended it to a number of friends who have all loved it.

Friendly staff ,very helpful manager ,good location ,near many restaurants ,we really enjoyed this hotel.,they help us to arrange every tours from the north to the south .We will recommend this hostel to our friends or anyone looking for hotel in Vietnam.

I stayed here one night and then i travelled around Vietnam , i had a wonderful stay in Ocean Stars 2 hotel.. the receptionists and staff are very helpful . All the facilities were very well equipped, with water heater, room heater, television (animal planet) etc.. It is well located ,near many restaurants,Dong Xuan market,Puppet Theatre,and banks... The staff will help you call a cab to ensure that u get the best transport and not being overcharged by the cab drivers..
