We were offered a very small room with a madress on the floor. Could not sit on the chairs as they had to be pushed against the table. Could not hang our clothes up as there were the madress in front.Hardly any floorspace. For breakfast there were no one to see that there were food on the buffet. We had to ask several times for glasses, for milk etc. Considered we booked this hotel in April I think. I would have expected to get a ok room. They did give us a ok room the day after. But I would not stay there again. The staff are very friendly and helpfull in their own way.

I was extremely impressed with this hotel, the rooms were huge and spotless, the location is fantastic, very central and close to the lake, and the staff were amazing. The staff all went to extreme efforts to help us with everything from taxis to the airport to cups of tea and finding and organising accommodation in our next destination. I highly recommend this hotel, it gave me a fantastic impression of Hanoi and of Vietnamese people.

The hotel has the best location in Hanoi old center, just a minute walking to Hoan Kiem Lake, a very nice lake. The hotel is small and narrow but provides good size, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are great, helpful and friendly, they also have good command of English. Breakfast is also good with many different choices. For what you pay, there's nothing to complaint at all

Hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The space and size of the room was disappointing. The room was very cramped but we managed. I would not use the family room again. It would have been better to get two rooms with double beds. I would use this hotel again but only as a transit hotel for a few hours or overnight.

We were suggested the Hanoi Royal Hotel through 1 of our friends from Hanoi and did stay here for 3 nights. Fantastic staff. Good sized room with good facilities. Daily fruit basket a treat and excellent buffet breakfast - Western and Asian. . Walking distance to Temple of Literature and not far to Mausoleum, though Old Quarter is a longish walk. Excellent $$ value for sure.

The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Comfortable, good-sized bed. Bathroom was nice, clean, and updated with new tile everywhere. Glass-enclosed shower - very good warm water. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with all outside arrangements . We were lucky to have the owner take us to a great buffet restaurant with another group of guests - private bus to the restaurant, exciting moto ride back to hotel. When we return to Hanoi, we will stay at the Hanoi Royal I Hotel again
