very enjoyable stay.Staff extremely welcoming and helpful.Ideal location quiet but within walking distance to Hammamet preferably along the beach.Good food.Beautiful view from the beach.Will suit people who are not looking for an all inclusive club-hotel as there are no activities or entertainments included .The beach is often crowded as it is open to non residents.I was told it is considered as a very trendy place by Tunisians (as well as the new bar and restaurant "the pool" particularly in the envening). So it might be a good cultural experience to mix with (well-off) Tunisians during your holiday.I would love to go back there again.

Ottima struttura, bellissima spiaggia attrezzata e sicura con servizio bar-ristorante agli ombrelloni. In allestimento nuova piscina di acqua di mare alla spiaggia. Ristorante della spiaggia di ottima cucina con buona carta di vini tunisini (eccellenti!). Camera spaziosa, con buon servizio pulizia. Personale dell'albergo cortese e disponibile. Ristorante dell'albergo spazioso, pulito con servizio ai tavoli e menu vario. Piano-bar a bordo piscina con simpatici artisti. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Consigliatissimo per coppie e famiglie con figli giovani. Non c'è animazione per i bambini.

Sindbad was absolutely what we expected - a pleasant, well run, quiet, upmarket hotel on an excellent beach. Excellent location. Definitely designed for elderly couples like me and my wife. Staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant but understood English rather less than expected - but we are used to that! The room rate charged us through Venere was much higher than their price list at the front desk, but we saw no point in challenging them. We had B&B only and had excellent cheap meals in Hammamet restaurants. The Sindbad swanky al a carte restaurant had charming staff, very average food and was very expensive. Much better quality and value found in Hammamet, particularly Chez Achour as featured in all guide books. It all made for an excellent holiday.

We have had some problems just arrived because we had been forced to insist to see the rooms as we requested - the receptionists did not want to show us the rooms before confirming our stay. Apart from this we really ejoyed our stay. Personnel was lovely and the restaurant on the beach was really good.

This is a place to stay if you want peace and uiet in a convenient location not too far from the town. It is away from the brash new resort of Yasmine. Do not come here if you're looking for entertainment. Staff were attentive and quick to react. The only things I didn't like were smoking in the main reception area and the artificial orange juice at breakfast, particularly in a country abundant with oranges.

Overall, hotel was great. Only criticism is that the exterior of the facility is showing its age--needs some paiting and sprucing up. Interiors of room and common areas were quite nice. Room very spacious and private--like haing a little bungalow. Beach beautiful (depsite all the smoking--maybe a no smoking section would be good). Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. WE did not, however, think Hammamet was that pretty excpt for area by medina and beach. It was actually a disappointment but that is not the hotel's fault

The positive is that the property is only 5' and 2TDN from city center. Negative is that they allow people from the street to enter the property. The beach is extremely crowded and most of the people are not hotel guests, but tunisians that smoke, eat, drink and chat all day long. I did not find a single seat and never used the hotel beach!!! Basically this is not a 5 stars for sure, from quality of services, towels not changed, concierge availability, security, etc. Also - the wc is placed in a small room and you can only seat diagonal! - if you look the door, when you exit the door stay loked and you need the concierge with a special key to open your door!!! - taxi waiting can take up to 30' - there is not gym contraty to site description - there is no shuttle to the airport and taxi are not allowed to go outside Hammamet- There is only an expensive chaffeur car you have to book 48 hours before (or you will loose your flight) - the hotel is 30 years old and you see it!- I tried to change hotel the very first day, but they told me I had to pay the entire amont, very kind isn't it. Very disappointed. If you plan to visit Hammamet, take an hotel in Yasmine (suggest Hasdrubal)

I STAYED DURING LOW SEASON AT THE SINBAD HOTEL,I WAS A LITTLE HESITANT,AS IT WAS MY FIRST TIME TRAVELLING ALONE,ON SUCH AN ADVENTURE,I REALLY REALLY LOVED IT!!THE STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!THE CONCIERGE HELPED MY DAILY PLAN MY EXCURSIONS,THE MAITRE D AT THE CHIC RESTAURANT MADE SPECIAL THINGS FOR ME TO TRY EACH TIME, ALSO , WHEN MY MOBILE PHONE ADAPTER DIDNT WORK, THE RECEPTION BOUGHT ME A CHARGER TO USE DURING MY STAY!! EVEN THE MAID CAME TO KISS MY CHEEKS GOODBYE WHEN I LEFT!! I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!! THANK YOU!!
