A brilliant hotel for the price - has character, quietness and good service. Conveniently located to central Hamburg. It's hard to imagine a better hotel for the price. I was at the hotel for three nights and I would come back without hesitation.

This is a recommendable house near Altona station, very quiet, except a moderate church bell ringing all 15 minutes - very tiny. We stayed in 3rd floor, and elevator ends at 2nd floor - what really is not very good with luggage.

The Hotel Stephan is a charming hotel in a good location. Staff were polite and helpful. The bedroom was cosy despite freezing temperatures outside. Breakfast was served until 11am in a lovely bright room. There was plenty of everything and lots of good coffee. I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and very willing to talk try to speak with me in English since my German is so poor. The room was quite a bit smaller than expected though the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The lack of A/C was the only other disappointment however the surroundings made up for those minor issues. If you have not visited Hamburg, forget about the Rapperbahn but come to visit the people and enjoy the scenery. It was wonderful. The hotel was quaint and if it's what you're looking for I would highly recommend it.

Ein freundliches, nettes Hotel, gut gelegen. Zu Fuß und mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittels sind Landungsbrücken und Innenstadt sehr gut zu erreichen. Frühstücksbuffet klein, aber durchaus gut ausreichend. Wir kommen wieder!
