Hotel Kronprinz Novum am Hamburg Hauptbahnhof - Hamburg

I have stayed here several times, and I've always been pleased. This time, they disappointed me. The wireless network did not function properly, and, for business,that's a major issue. The front desk clerk was cold as ice, and she could have cared less about the technical problem, even though business people were lined up at the front desk complaining. The bathroom was not particularly clean this trip, mold in the shower, stains on towels, carpet that needed changing. It's a great property with a superb location, but management needs to pay more attention to it.

Excellent location. Just opposite the main train station. Easy to find. Close proximity to the city center and shopping area. Lots of restaurant nearby. Although there is no parking space provided by the hotel, there is a multiple storey carpark just around the corner charged at 8Euro for 24hrs.

I stayed one night during a business trip in Oct 2011. I found hairs on the bed head rest. There was a lot of stuff in the corridor outside the room, like forniture to be assambled. A mess, not very welcoming So so breakfast. Not for business

the hotel was a building site! Every corridor was lined with furniture and the men working on the rooms seemed not to worry about the guests! It would be better either to tell guests at booking that the hotel was being refurbished - or better to close a floor at a time for the refurbishment! The breakfast buffet was ample - but everything tasted of nothing!

Clean and friendly place close to center and public transport (Only WLAN did not work as indicated)

The hotel is located centrally just in front of the central station. The room is clean enough but very very very small, and there is nothing in this room other than a old bed which is making noise allover the night. The room is really expensive in comparison with the quality and service provided.

Good location, close to Central station and city center. Rooms are very small but clean.

My main concern with the hotel is the high price. We paid 140 Euro for a double room excluding breakfast (additional 12 Euro). The rooms are ok but for this price I expected something more. The building is old and you can hear your neighbours quite well which is not nice. I would not take this hotel again as for this price there are better offerings in Hamburg.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - right accross from the train station. This might have added some noise but the convenience to tours, places to eat and shop as well as travel options made it an excellent location for us.

The hotel and room seemed to be brand new as they were refurbished recently. The bathroom had very nice interior and a big shower cabin. The only small thing is that there was no good place to put the toilet bags (we were a couple) except on the floor. We very much enjoyed the stay and we had a very quiet room. The airport express is just across the street and all types of public transport are only 50 metres away. Also close to the shopping district. We stayed for three nights and will certainly come back next time we visit Hamburg.

Very well located, excellent service. Nice place to stay. I would return there.
