Hotel Eleazar Novum Hamburg City Center - Hamburg

We were offered a small room with one small bed situated in a corner. We were able to change to another room the following night, but for extra payment. The surrounding area was not very nice with a lot of "light districts nightclubs".

Clean but small rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was 100%. Conclusion a perfect stay in Hamburg for a couple of days.

The hotel is very well located, close to the train station and to visit the city you can do it very easely by walking. The atmosphere of the hotel is the opposite of cosy but for the price it's ok.

On arrival, we got a single-room, not the double-room, we had ordered. On our request, this mishap was cleared out after a couple of phone calls - to the mishap of the next customer. The room itself was cramped, and not very clean. The breakfast though was good and the staff there very kind. We are not very pleased with our stay.

Very good value for money - the surrounding area is not great but very easy access to central Hamburg

Very central. You can work to the central station, also to the maine shopping center. very good supermarket around. I will go back to that hotel.

Good quality hotel. Easy to locate and very handy to railway station. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Obviously very popular place to stay.

Rooms basic but what was expected. location superb. staff very good. english spoken well. first time stay, but would stay on short breaks again due to location.very close to trains, airport bus.no noise though.

Convenient location very close to the central railway station. Turning right out of the hotel leads you to a rather seedy area. Excellent buffet breakfast. Rooms clean and functional but uninspiring. Good value overall.

Conveniently located very close to Hauptbahnhof main station. But be aware that you have to negotiate prostitutes and various undesirables along the way so be aware. My room was not as advertised. A cheap roller blind did not keep out the light, there was no door between bathroom and bedroom. I think the hotel should be quoted as a 2 star. In my opinion it did not meet the minimum level of quality of a 3 star hotel.

The hotel is clean and the breakfast included was good. It's next to the train station and very well comunicated, There's prostituition and sex shops etc. around but not dangerous, as said in other comments.

The hotel is at a walking distance from the train station,so if you get there by train its great.breakfast is very good,and it has a perfect location.

The room was a closet. Requiring sq.meters on the site for the rooms would be a good idea as this was a VERY BAD surprise.

Very quiet, clean hotel with helpful staff; very convenient to main bus station(ZOB) and main rail station (hauptbahnhof)including also undergound (U & S lines). Also convenient to main shopping streets (on other side of rail station)and Alster lakes. Excellent buffet breakfast. Only downside is location borders rather seedy area as you move away from rail station but did not feel unsafe when walking to/from hotel at any time.

2 buildings, one does not have a lift, rooms were cold, I changed rooms, but the other one was still cold. Elevatot is too small. Breakfast was good, Front Desk people were nice and helpful. There is no hairdryer in the room.

Hotel sehr gut gelegen (Hauptbahnhof, Einkaufsstrasse), ruhig, sauber, gutes Frühstück. Sehr kleine Zimmer, enge Platzverhältnisse (Zimmer, Bad), kommt aus den Fotos nicht so hervor.

They ought to buy new pillows for the beds they are awfull

The hotel is mostly renovated with exceptions. The not renovated rooms are in a very poor situation

Room quality and cleanliness are excellent. The street is part of a red-light district, with street-walkers and, it seems, bars that provide facilities for the sex trade. Not recommended for sensitive people or families. The front desk could use training in cheerful service, although they are competent. Breakfast facilities and quality of the offerings are excellent. The hotel advertised free wireless internet, but this did not work on the floor I was on (3rd), so had to bring my notebook down to the lounge. Also, the "lounge" was a couple of chairs, very lovely chairs, but not a lounge. However, at 65 euros for a single room with ensuite bathroom, I was not disappointed and would recommend the hotel highly for single men or couples who can tolerate the sleezy street. A five minute walk from the main railway station.
