Aussen Alster Hotel - Hamburg

I was on a research trip and got a double room for one person use. The hotel is very good, the breakfast excellent, the in-house restaurant looked good and the competence of the staff cannot be doubted. I would certainly stay there again. It is in a nice and quiet district near the Aussenalter Lake. If you arrive with the S-Bahn to the Hauptbahnhof I suggest walking to the hotel up the "Lange Reihe" (not the parallel streets). Lange Reihe has a lot of good restaurants and shops, and there are less expensive restaurants in the Kirchenallee in front of the Hauptbahnhof.

Das Aussen-Alster ist ein recht einfaches Hotel, und dafür schien mir der Preis zu hoch, aber das mag in Hamburg normal sein. Ansonsten gibt´s nichts zu beanstanden: keine Highlights aber alles sauber und gepflegt, ruhig auch zur Strasse hin, sehr sympathische Dame an der Rezepzion, und günstig gelegen. Parken kann man für 8,- / 24 h im Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof Borgesch (so heißt die Strasse) 600m vom Hotel entfernt. Für einen Absacker eignet sich "Frau Möller", meine Lieblingskneipe in Hamburg. Und an der Langen Reihe gibt´s noch jede Menge andere interessante Lokale. Für einen Kurztrip durchaus empfehlenswert.

Our stay at the hotel was a very pleasant experience. The service offered was good and friendly. The breakfast good and service in the bar for a late drink friendly. Only missing canals in English - CNN, Skynews etc. on the TV.

Very pleasant place and welcoming to my dog (they have a dog on site). Neighborhood shopping laidback and interesting on one side, with pleasant restaurants and easy access to the center.Right by the lake with jogging trails and grass. I would certainly stay there again. As for your survey,however, I resent being forced to answer questions I cannot answer, such as type and number of available rooms (how on earth do I know: I have put in a totally irrelevant number). Will not fill in your reviews again if you force me to do this.

We enjoyed our four day stay at the Hotel Aussen Alster. The staff was helpful and accommodating.

A comfortable and efficiently run hotel in a nice part of the city.

I love this hotel and the italian restaurant on garden level is simply fantastic. I will surely go there again.
