We had a lovely spacious room ( superior lake view), but the overall experience of the hotel was disappointing. Food is appalling and we felt sorry for those who had paid for full board. The halls were smelly and dank, dining room staff were generally rude or unhelpful (simple enough would have been to label the dishes in the bain marie than get cranky when everyone needs to ask which meat is which. Food was substandard and mass produced. Powdered orange juice, and stale croissants at breakfast was just the start. There is a lack of restaurants in Cadenabbia, and much better to stay in Varenna or Menaggio if you like to walk around the town in the evening and enjoy the ambience. Ferry and bus stops were close, but bus only runs hourly and stops at 7pm. Ferry to Bellagio runs till later.

No air conditioning, you have to open the window but the court is very noisy all night long.

Hotel was clean and bright. Some of staff on check in desk left alot to be desired. ~The only meal I eat in hotel was breakfast. This was not very exciting and some morning was not worth getting up for. No fresh fruit and coffee was undrinkable. If breakfast was anything to go by would not try any other meals. Apart from this clean rooms and good location.

Great hotel with a striking view of Bellagio. Room was fantastic, staff were great, if you're in Cadenabbia it's the hotel to stay at. Buffet breakfast was very tasty, I would highly recommend staying here, a great base to see the middle/upper Como region.

Breakfast poor, no fresh fruit, breakfast staff rude. Impossible to get a drink after midnight.Hotel clean and rooms well serviced. Very central for buses and boats. Pool area very clean, bar staff nice at pool bar. In general Italians all need a lot of customer service. Nothing in the area for older teenagers

Best things first : good locating close to the ferries and large rooms with view of the lake. The room was clean but they use heavy perfumed products which is a problem if you are allergic and unpleasant for others. The breakfast was awfull - only sliced bread meant to be toasted and the coffee was undrinkable. We had to drink tea in Italy ! At the reception was a note, that you could just pick up your own key. Not very smart at a large hotel were its impossible to know the guests. We didnt leave our key ! Lots of english chartergroups. Parkingfacilities were 5 places in front of the hotel or you could use public parking. Thats misinformation on the homepage. I dont think this hotel belongs at venere.com.

This hotel is used by British tour companies so expect lots of coach parties of old people! There is not a lot in the area so you have to use the boats and buses to get to places which is fine.

The hotel has lots of charm which sadly is spoilt by large English tour groups who are on "full board". The rooms are lovely and large and well appointed and we had a gorgeous view across the lake to Bellagio. The hotel takes on the sense of a school camp for adults. The hotel really should invest in air con or if not some external awnings. The rooms were outrageously hot some days with only a fan to move the hot air around. The coffee at breakfast is absolutely the worst coffee I have ever tasted in my life - an insult to Italy itself. It is mystifying how they could render it so foul - instant nescafe is heaven compared to it. They advertise that car parking is included in the price but there was a 6 space park that was permanently full and it is quite hard to find parking nearby.

Nice hotel but photos make it look better then it really is. Hotel may have been great in its day but a little tired looking now. Pool really small consisdering it is so busy. Good breakfast but dinner I believe is mayhem, didn't go ourselves. Air condition consisted of a ceiling fan which wasn't the best. Parking very poor. Staff friendly and bar busy at night but difficult to get a good seat. Kicked out at 10.00am which I believe was too early for a checkout, most are 11.00am-12.00. Some rooms very small, ours was great, very spacious with great view of lake.

The hotel was very far away from Como. The food was awful!!! The hotel receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. They speak very good English but they pretend they don't understand when they want to ignore the situation. This hotel is not for young people. This is a great hotel for older people who do not want to leave the hotel. We were the youngest people in the hotel (we are in our 30s). There is absolutely nothing close to the hotel, you have to travel to see or do anything.

It is a great location, we had a fantastic view of Lake Como. By far the largest room of any hotel we stayed at. Very charming, great breakfest. Just a block away from the boat dock so it was extremely easy to get to.
