The Whitehall is an atypical London Stansted Airport hotel, deep in the Essex countryside. Although the passenger terminal is only a short drive away, the hotel is located on a small estate near the town of Great Dunmow. Other local attractions include Mountfitchet Castle, a reconstructed Norman motte and bailey castle, as well as Epping Forest and its 6,000 acres of protected woodland.
The Whitehall Hotel is an Elizabethan manor house which has been restored to all of its former glory and offers relaxing retreats in the English countryside around London as well as Stansted Airport accommodation with a difference. Although this quaint historic building is a marvellous treasure, you will be glad to know that you will not find Elizabethan plumbing here. On the contrary, this hotel provides all of the creature comforts as well as delicious food and drink.
The hotel's restuarant is located in the magnificent 15th Century banqueting hall with its timber-framed roof. Here you can sample one of the menu's freshly prepared dishes or a Sunday lunch with roast beef and all the trimmings. If its a nice day, you can also eat out on the terrace too. The hotel's atmospheric rooms are also ideal for a business meetings or a small celebration too.

How to reach Whitehall Hotel
By car
From the M11 Motorway: leave the M11 Motorway at Junction 8A. Follow signs to London Stansted International Airport. Before the terminal building, take the 4th exit at Coopers End Roundabout and follow signs for Elsenham. At the T-Junction in Elsenham, turn right onto the B1052. Go on for about 3 miles/4.8 km and the Whitehall Hotel is on the right-hand side.
