Stoiser's Hotel Garni - Graz

I booked this hotel on short notice because the price was right and we needed somewhere to spend the night before arriving in Vienna the next day. It's not a hotel that I would use for a long stay but it was great for the purpose that we used it for. What we liked: The rooms were very clean and spacious; breakfast buffet was excellent; staff was knowledgeable and friendly; free parking was available and plentiful; and, even though we arrived at almost midnight, the check-in procedures without night staff were simple and easy to follow. What we didn't like: The room was too warm, forcing us to open the window; this exposed us to the second thing we didn't like which was the location of the hotel. Not as in a bad neighborhood, but as on a well transited secondary road with traffic going up and down until the early hours of the morning. Overall though, we were very satisfied with the hotel and would use it again for an overnight stay.

While the price quoted was double at check-out, it was well worth the money spent. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was excellent, and the surroundings were enjoyable. The only complaint is that they are so far from the Graz's city center where all the hustle and bustle is, but worth the extra amount of time to travel there by taxi or street car!

Very clean, competent staff. Very close to tram and ease of use. Definitely a good hotel and experience.

Stanze ampie e pulite. Un po' scarsa la colazione. Non c'è il Ristorante interno, ma offrono un ottimo servizio di Catering in camera o presso la sala per la colazione dell'albergo

The hotel itself is very good. Standards are of a good quality and the staff were first class. The sauna room is only open at night which means we did not get a look at it. Two areas to note... 1. It seemed very quiet. At times at breakfast ( which was your standard Continental fare ) you were almost alone. 2. Its nowhere near the town centre. Balance the cost of the hotel with the amount you will spend on taxis. My reckoning is around 6km from the Main Square. Yes it is near the Basicilica and in a wooded area, however it is MILES away from the town centre. Around £10 one way in a taxi. Graz is a beautiful city and we had a great time. The only negative being the need to wear out two pairs of shoes if we had decided to walk to the town centre.

Very good and clean hotel with kind people

I had a very pleasent stay; the only thing I like to criticise is the availability of the channels on the TV set. The mentioned channels in the provided overview in the room haven´t been available completly.

Gutes Hotel was man weiter empfehlen sollte

Traffic noise is quite loud in the rooms situated on streetside; city center is 25 tram-minutes away, what is said not clear enough in prospect; friendliness of personnel, wellness-area and breakfast are excellent - we would go there again!
