I stayed 3 days in granada, the hotel is really well placed. by walk max 5min from the cathedral and max 10min from the university of architecture and engineering. the wireless is available only at the entrance floor. breakfast was not included in venere booking. the hotel was very clean and pretty. people very nice and gentle. even if i asked for a silent room, i was placed in a room facing the street = group of students passing at 3am or 4am were really disturbing.

We booked two double rooms which we got and they were both very good. We were only in Granada for one night, but would not hesitate to stay again

The lobby and service, and location of the hotel are very good, but the room we had (210) was rather shabby, the bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower worked only intermittently. We thought the restaurant was over-rated and quite expensive for the quality of the food served, although the service was excellent and the waiters very courteous and helpful. The hotel was also extremely difficult to find if arriving by car, as we did!

Very typical building Andalou style, but very poor confort.Very difficult to unload luggage from the car due to very narrow street. Parking impossible near the hotel but available two blocks awayat at an expensive price. Not very easy to park there by the way...Room very noisy if situated street side.

Difficulties to access the car; the car was parked somewhere (they would not tell us where), price we paid to park the car was not as displayed on web page (18 euro paid, 11,21 +VAT displayed on website), air conditionning did not work second and last night we stayed here, shower didn't work, room we stayed in was poorly cleaned (used handkerchief under the bed...).

Hotel with the history - Lorca was arrested there during the Civil War. Conveniently located in the center, close to the Cathedral. Nice interior in the reception. Has a garage. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. Has a nice cofee shop and a restaurant (didn't try it). Located on the narrow one-way street, had problems getting there (they close it for the pedestrians from time to time). Will stay agaim.

I have never been in a situation like this! The room was dark (only window to a small internal courtyard), smelling, would have needed significant refurbishmnet. The staff is the less helpful and less intelligent I have ever seen. We met four people their, they couldn't/didn't answer to any questions. They brought my car from the parking lot 40 minutes later then expected, and it wasn't my car finally !!! They would have let me to drive away in another car... I asked for the Complaint Book, they didn't provide it. They only brought my car when I wanted to call the police. Negligent, helpless, incompetent staff, in an ugly smelling awful hotel. The staff's only argument was: "you know it is Spain". But in Spain we were in good hotels as well... Only the pictures are good, but I guess they had to pay a lot to such a good photographer! Never to this hotel or in this chain again!!! I will take further steps towards the local authorities

Relaxing and rather elegant, centrally located hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Only quibble was that the air conditioning in our room was completely unable to compete with a hot July night in Granada which left the room overnight being very hot, sticky and airless. Please note that if you want to park your car at the hotel, the street that the hotel is on has a barrier which requires a code. The best thing to do is park in a street as close to the hotel as you can (which may take a bit of effort) and they will go and move it for you.

Struttura molto bella in centro a Granada. Non abbiamo provato nè colazione, nè pranzo, nè cena all'interno dell'hotel.

The hotel was relatively easy to find with the signs posted on the roads. But you have to press the intercom to get the hotel staff to open the "gate" for you, or you'll be holding up everyone else behind you on the road. The hotel room we got was spacious and clean, but was rather dark and old. The bed was way too soft and the bathroom was also a little old fashioned. But the staff are very warm and helpful, even though the lady in the restaurant could not speak English.

A "modern hotel" that retains the characteristics of an older property. Our room,112, was fine although the bathromm was very tiny and for anything longer than a short stay this could be a problem.

Although I booked a triple room, it was infact little more than a twin room with a camp bed, which stuck out into the room partly blocking the door to the bathroom.

The Reina Christina is in an excellent location. The rooms were clean though unspectacular - adequate for what we were looking for. However, there is no sound proofing between the rooms nor is there any between the rooms and the hallway. My girlfriend and I are not light sleepers but it was impossible to sleep in past nine due to the noise created by the maids in the hallways. We were also able to hear pretty much everything in the neighbouring rooms. To cope with the noise, we found a TV channel that provided "white noise" and we were able to drown out most of the external clatter. Our room faced an alley so the outdoor noise was minimal. The bathroom was small though clean and adequate (toilet, sink, shower and even a bidet). The public areas were very nice, even beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel but only to people who are early risers.

Hôtel plein de charme, trés agréable; les chambres sont petites car il s'agit d'une ancienne maison de Grenade, un peu vieillottes mais trés bien entretenues et trés propres; beaucoup de romantisme; excellent restaurant

Great location but a bit noisy if the room overlooks the street. Fantastically helpful and friendly hotel staff. Good food. Spent most nights in the cafe bar with very hospitable staff who helped me with my Spanish homework( I was doing an intensive Spanish course)

We visited while the road this hotel is in was being dug up - so couldn't get the car anywhere near. But when we finally rolled up they took the keys and went to find and park the car for us. Very welcoming, great position, I guess it could be a little noisy when the road is open. The air conditioning was very weak - a big issue in July, with 40 degree heat outside. Overall an unpretentious and welcoming mid-market tourist hotel.

Everything at the "Reina Cristina" was excellent, except cleanliness, especially the table-cloths and the CHAIRS in the restaurant. But the atmosphere, the service and the food was first class!! We especially liked the food, the closeness to the centre/shops/attractions, and the little tapas-bar at the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay!

Granada is a difficult place to drive in. Comprehensive details are required to find the hotel. Once there the staff are very accomodating, parking the car for you and genrally being very helpful. The restaurant was excellent.

Generally a very friendly and welcoming hotel, with a nice atmosphere. Small but beautiful reception area with nice places to sit around a fountain, and with Lorca memorabilia to look at. Very central location. Convenient for all the main tourist sites in Granada. Excellent location for shops and restaurants. Difficult to find if driving due to Granada's complex one way system, but once you get there they will park your car for you. Noise level varies depending on room but generally O.K. for a city centre location. Breakfast included but rather dull food and unsmilling restaurant staff. Reception staff and maids excellent though. Would certainly consider staying there again.

The hotel was fine, except for when we arrived, they claimed they had lost our reservation, even when I showed them an email printout. They then tried to charge us 20 Euros more than the price quoted on here. Beware!!!

Bad - 1. Difficult to find but great location once there. 2. Small room and small uncomfortable beds (we had 3 in one room) 3. I called ahead and asked the female employer that answered to reserve us tickets to a Flamenco show, she was rude on the phone but assured me she would do as I asked. She did not. Luckily, the gentleman working when we arrived made us last minute reservations. Good: 1. Great location in regards to walking places 2. Beautiful lobby and very quaint hotel 3. Service was wonderful once we got there 4. Overall a good stay for the price.

A lovely hotel - the only drawback was the combination of tiled floors and slamming doors, so quite noisy sometimes. Otherwise, very comfortable with pleasant efficient staff, and very nice restuarant and cafe. Was most happy too with booking procedure. will use Venere again. Thank you.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in the Reina Christina...its historical links, setting, location, centrality were excellent. The staff were very helpful and arragned for us to have a pick up/drop off tour to the Alhambra. The breakfast buffet and the restaurant meals were excellent and provided a wide variety of foods. The facilities in the room...safe,mini-bar,hair-dryer, iron etc were all excellent and the decor and presentation of the room were excellent also. We were very pleased with the hotelk and the staff.
