+ good location, nice staff, very nice design of rooms and patio inside - very bad isolation in the rooms. not quiet at all. we could hear everyithing - when somebody from the neighbourhood was using wc or bath the water was making incredible noise. as when people from othe rooms were talking, we could hear it very well. breakfast was not very good. well for the price it was maybe okay. there were some marmalade (jam), butter, bread and some cookies. hot water, coffee. no cheese or sausage. I stayed in twin/double with two beds. well in case you will go sleep pretty late, maybe you won;t hear all that described stuff and will be fully satisfied

Stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights. Would have rated it higher except for the first night's experience. That night was spent in room 203 and it was horrible. Street noise from Tapas bar, disco bar crowd, and garbage collectors between 10:00PM and 6:00AM were constant interruptions at any attempts made to sleep. Staff put us in a different and quieter room the next day. The location was terrific and close to most sites and activities. The Alhambra was a convenient 10 minute bus ride away.

The location was perfect. Tapas bars, restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shop, grocery stores, and coffee shops were no more than a 1-3 minute walk from the hotel. The Cathedral and Alhambra were also very close. The street on which the hotel was located is a very busy one, and people tend to hang out there at all hours of the day and night, hence the noise. Despite the noise, I would definitely stay in the hotel again on any future visits.

The public areas and the patio are very charming, the hotel is well-located in the centre of the city between Plaza Nueva and Albayzin, in one of the busiest streets. The room was spacious, but the air conditioner shot the air directly towards the bed and could not be deviated, thus creating some discomfort during the night. The bathroom was beautiful but not much functional: the toilet seat was damaged and the water-massage shower didn't work properly. The price/quality ratio was anyway good.

We were impressed with the value for money at this hotel. It is attractive, clean and very well located for all Granada's attractions. However the breakfast was meagre and unimaginative - the hotel describes it as a "free" breakfast, presumably to excuse the lack of choice.

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Posada del Toro and were delighted with its situation and our room. We had a small view of the Alhambra from our window and the fact that there was a short corridor between our room and our excellent bathroom, made us feel we had a small apartment. We were only a block from the centre of town and we were also among the fascinating exotic traders in the narrow lanes. The young people on the desk were all English speaking and were very helpful with information, getting us tickets for the Alhambra, and recommending restaurants close to the hotel. The lift was a welcome bonus. The breakfast was a little sparse, especially if one did not arrive first, but this was our only criticism and we would certainly stay there again and recommend to hotel to others.

Wonderful location just steps from the Plaza Nueva. Reception was friendly and competent. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Night noise was a problem due to the restaurant location in a central courtyard, eg.noisy late diners and kitchen clean-up. No English-speaking TV channel-it would have been nice to catch up on the news.

Spacious room and bathroom and in easy walking distance to most of the sights. Bus to Alhambra is a block away. Breakfast is provided but very basic. We would return.

This hotel has a quirky charm and a terrific location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't very good but it was free -- unusual in Spain. Drawbacks were no comfortable seating in bedroom and it was noisy, but I'd still recommend it. (Perhaps rooms in back would be quieter.)

Better location than arab quarter because close to alhambra bus and all other points of interest. The restaurant was especially good serving traditional regional dishes. Wi fi needs to be improved markedly though. People need to understand that technixal facilities are as important as the rest.

The reception was always very friendly, helpful and informative.my only complaint was that our bedroom was over the inner courtyard and a water feature was left running all night which was part of the restaurant decor. we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great location. Comfortable rooms. Our first room was gorgeous, but smelled vaguely of sewage and we could hear the thumping of techo music all night. We could deal with that, but then the shower did work properly (hot water kept disappearing). We reported it to the staff and they immediately moved us to a beautiful suite, no extra charge. They were great about it. Free Wifi, but only in lobby.

Staff is helpful with requests, yet is limited with speaking English. Staff printed our reservation for visiting the Alhambra upon arrival. We had an early departure via train the next day and the staff set up breakfast for us before the routine time.

Great hotel - rooms very comfortable and very nicely decorated. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price. Lift to all floors. Hotel perfectly located at the end of Calle Elvira near to the drop off (4th stop)for the airport bus, cathedral and the Plaza Nuevo. We could walk to all the main tourist areas of Granada. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I stayed there with a friend July 18-20 2008. The pictures and reviews do not do it justice. It is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the showers are amazing, the best I have ever had in Europe. The hotel grounds amd common areas are gorgoeus and the staff very helpful. Parking is nearby and it is close to everything. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would absolutely return

We´ve bee in Granada for the first time, for 3 days, and we were glad, when we arrived in the evening and there was such a nice restaurant in a Spanish courtyard belonging to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the centre of Granada in a narrow road, you don´t need any car or bus, to the Alhambra we took 25 minutes by foot. Tip: When you go out of the hotel and go left, ca. 200 metres there is a supermarket where you can buy everthing for drinking or a little meal, very good sheep cheese... In the night, however, many people are walking along this little steet talking loudly, so we woke up several times. The windows got double-glasses, but it`s still not quiet, but it`s Spain! We liked the rooms and the Spanish-designed bathroom. The only point we didn´t like was the breakfast. There was cereals and cake in plastis and marmalade and so on, ok, but the salami and bacon and cheese we couldn´t eat, because they were dry and old, the cheese only could be scratched off the plate. The plates and cups were really dirty so that we had to give them back two times. The girl that did the service all alone was unfriendly or perhaps unhappy?

The hotel was alittle bit difficult to find, but once there we liked the location. The toilet had been used before we checked into the room, in spite of the sanitary seal. That was a negative first impression. Also, I had to ask at the front desk for TP on one occasion. I thought that was strange. I received some faulty information at the front desk regarding tickets for the Alhambra, but that was more the fault of the webpage than the young man at the desk. (My advice is to go directly to the Alhambra to buy your tickets; don't use the phone or the webpage.)
