We were in 4 person room - which was four beds stuffed into standard room. Uninspiring but nevertheless quite functional if the room was used only for sleeping. Not much room to do anything else. WIFI was not provided in the room (despite the relative ease of doing so in today's age). Ultra-modern lighting was a bit harsh.

The hotel is excellent for 1 star hotel. It could easily beat any 3 star hotel. The room I got was new, albeit very small. It was very clean, including the private bathroom. I had the most comfortable stay in this hotel for the price I paid. I highly recommend this to anyone going to Granada.

Great place within walking distance to a lot of sites. I like to walk so I didn't take public transportation. There are cool cafes and restaurants near the hotel. Probably the only thing that was a pain initially was that I was on the 4th floor and there is no lift. No problem - it's exercise, right? That said, in that room, internet service went in and out a lot and was annoying when you're trying to upload photos. In the lobby, Wifi works fine, though. Other than that, a great little place. If you're interested, there's really no breakfast to speak of at the hotel. You can get a cup of coffee and toast. But, you really shouldn't be having breakfast at the hotel when there are so many places in the area to eat.

Excellent price, beats even hostales and youth hostels. Quiet in the night (there was some construction noise in the day). Air conditioning (heating) worked well (better in annex building). Shower was good. Free WiFi Internet in the lobby. Walking distance to all major places in the center. Leave your car somewhere else (city center has narrow streets and not recommended for cars).

What a terrible end to a perfect vacation in Spain. Abusive and threatening behavior by the person running the front desk lead us to cut short our visit to Granada and left us feeling shaken by the whole experience. Our teenage daughter was reduced to tears by this bully and I fear has been put off from further foreign travel because of him. Never stay at Molinos, it is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life.

Spent 2 nights there. The hotel is in a very good location to visit the Alhambra or the historic city center. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Although the walls are a bit thin so sometimes you can hear your neighbors :) But anyway it was a good hostel. Highly recommended. We would return.

Good hotel, and would recommend it if you are on a budget. It is very well located, with a short walk into the very centre of the tourist area. Note there is street parking right in front of the hotel. The facilities were ok, but was disappointed to learn that no breakfast or coffee is served over weekends. Rooms are quite small, and the bathroom petite, but very clean. Friendly helpfull staff.

My mom and I stayed at Molinos for one night after a grueling morning of driving through the mountains and a long afternoon at the Alhambra. Molinos was exactly what the doctor ordered. We had a spacious room overlooking the street with a huge bathroom, AC, there's and elevator in the building too! The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location. On a quiet street but just around the corner from a million great shops and restaurants, walking distance to the Alhambra and to the center city which is tons of fun. The man at the desk even recommended a great place for dinner on Calle Pavaneras where the food was delicious. Later, they gave us great directions for how to get out of the city. If you stay at Molinos, be sure to ask for recommendations and advice, these guys know what they're talking about.

Great place to stay overnight. Located in the heart of Granada with stairs to Al-Hambra hill starts just at the doors. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable, of reasonable size for European standards. We had window facing to the street that generates some noise-this tiny street is actually main access road to Al-Hambra with a lot of traffic on it. Services are minimal, but there are good cofee shops for breakfast in the same block and hotel stuff speaks good English.

Great little hotel. Fabulous location. Room was small (but not by European standards). Character of the room made up for lack of size and we had plenty of room for sleeping and luggage. Bathroom and shower/bathtub were a good size. Jose at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. There are four floors and no elevator, which was not a problem for us, but it's not a good place for someone who cannot climb stairs. There is a rooftop terrace w/great sunset views of the city. Free computer in the lobby for internet use. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Location quite good but a bit hard to park nearby until you get to hotel and find that they can let you park out front to unload bags. Then they have a carpark adjacent which costs I think 14 euro per day but well worthwhile. Great restaurant across the road with English lady cooking and quite reasonably priced. Great location and easy to get to places of interest.

The location of the hotel is very good, 15 minutes walk to Palace Alhambra, hotel staff friendly and helpful, internet(wireless) works well and for free. The room though is not so nice, furnitures/bed are quite worn out, the linens and bath room are clean but the whole room gives a not fresh feeling. It looks like no real effort is putting in to make the hotel into a good one. It's a pity the hotel occupies such a good location, if they can somehow renovate the rooms with better beds and funitures, put souls in running their business, then they can serve more happier customers with higher price than today. I'll not recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel Molinos was a great experience because of the extremely friendly receptionist who is *i think* the son of the hotel owner. For the price I paid, it was in a great location, very near to the Alhambra as well as Gran via. From the hotel, it is only a 15min walk to Plaza Nueva. Also, there's this Plaza very near the hotel which has a row of tapas place. The one that's nearest the hotel (Baco i think) was great too. Good beer, good tapas, good atmosphere.

Based on previous reviews I knew this was not a luxury hotel but seemed OK. We had a very bad first night because we were given a room with a very very strong smell of desinfectant. It was too late when we got back from the restaurant to try to change that night especially with kids in a room next door which was better. I am told that this is often due to smell coming from the sewage system. We changed for the two remaining nights in a room that didn't have this desinfectant so we slept better. The room are very small, my bed was against the wall so not convenient to get out. The room is clean but the decoration is a little outdated so this is definitely not a hotel to stay in your room very long. Otherwise the hotel is very quite, it has a parking very close, it's 10 mns by minibus in front of hotel to Alhambra, it has lots of bars just around, so good for those who want to stay out in a student area. Its 10 mns by walking distance from Cathedral and Plaza Nueve where you can reach the interesting areas to visit. So for the price its quiet, clean and I forgot to say friendly and helpful people at reception, well positionned. Just avoid the rooms with that desinfectant smell wours was in the second building adjacent to the entrance of main building.

Granada can be expensive for hotels so Hotel Molinos is a moderate cost option. It has its own secure parking which is valuable for drivers. It is also on the main bus route to the Alhambra. It is walking distance to many restaurants and other attarctions including the cathedral. Rooms are modest and bathroom is small. Desk staff were very helpful but had limited English (or French) capacity. The greatest drawback was the street noise late into the night and early in the morning.

Generally good for the price, though the Venere price was much better than the hotel's rack rates, which would have seemed a bit much for the area/quality. The receptionist who welcomed us was lovely and very helpful, but the two guys who worked the other shifts were uch less so, which let the place down - we moved to the Ninfa (lovely) after we decided to extend our stay mainly because of this. Room was fine though up a lot of stairs, seems to be a significant chance you'll get moved to their other building.

Narrowest hotel in the world (see pic of certificate!) but we had front room - whole width of 5.2m, which was quite large, ensuite, with useful balcony. Location fine in daytime, but noisy late at night and early morning due to bars/nightclubs nearby. Fantastic location to walk to all of Granada's many attractions. Directly opposite is pathway up (..up..up..up) to Alhambra palace. Free internet in lobby, and very helpful friendly English-speaking family staff. Parking arranged in handy secure private parking 1 minute away, at additional cost - but left car there for whole visit. Me alojaron en el anexo del hotel, todo funcionó de manera impecable, el personal muy amable y predispuesto. Lo recomendaría, cumplió mis expectativas, descansar sin ruido, una buena ducha y el resto del día afuera. Mariana L. (argentina)

The Molinos is a nice little hotel, the staff was extremely welcoming, our room was small but very clean, nice bathroom. We did not have breakfast in the hotel but at the nice café right across the street. The room had air condition which was a relief as we arrived in Granada during a heatwave.

A very small and familiar hotel. The property is owned by a family and its memebers give you excellent service. When we arrive to Granada did not know we need a reservation to visit La Alhambra. One of the employes solved the problem and our visit was a success.

location is little bit off from the center but it is very convinient to visit Alhambra. Actually from the hotel, there is a short cut to go there. I had the best room of the hotel and I know thre are other rooms just facing the patio. If you are lucky enough to have the best romm which I had, you cannot ask more. The staff was fantastic and very welcoming even though we arrived in ridiculous time(we took night train from Barcelona). I will recommend everyone.

Good location and price but tiny room. They were unable to give me a larger room. The brochure boasts this place being "the narrowest hotel in the world," and claims to be listed in the Guiness Book. Quality of service varies depending on who is at the desk.

Room was in hostal next door, requiring three keys to enter and key retrieval at desk next door, no problem. Room smelled of chemical, probably disinfectant. Shower stall very tiny typical of many European one-stars, but not typical of our stay in rest of Spain. Noise from street goes on late into night and starts up again around 8:30-9AM, but ear plugs took care of that. Location at bottom of Alhambra hill was great, quick bus ride or hike up to entrance. Great view of Sierra Nevada at end of street with high quality wall graffiti including Louis Armstrong. Great funky little neighborhood with fresh markets and late-night kebob joints for food. A few minutes from Plaza Colon y Isabela and Plaza Nueva and Albaicin. Easy trip by bus or cab to train or Autobuses Estaciones. Watch out for cab at rush hour, though. It cost us 13 Euros because of congestion.

A very conveniently situated hotel, with clean comfortable rooms, good shower and hot water. Staff very good. Our room was on a busy street, the air conditioning was not working so doors had to be left open. Therefore very noisy. Internal plumbing noises very loud. No lift and stairs very steep.

This was our first visit to Hotel Molinos, and our first visit to Granada. The hotel is located in a wonderful location: quiet, but within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be. The spaces are small, but everything is clean. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We would be very pleased to stay at the Hotel Molinos again.

This was a good room for the price. We needed a room for 4 adults for sleeping/bathing purposes only. The room was clean. It was in a building next to the main hotel. The reception area is small, but clean. The staff was friendly. We waited while registering rather than leave our passports at the desk. There was no soap in the bathroom. Our train arrived later than usual, so we did not venture out into the surroundings at night. We walked down to a main street for breakfast and our tour of AlHambra

We had a very warm welcome at the Hotel Molinos, with a map of Granada and instruction on how best to get to the Alhambra: only a twenty minute walk from the hotel. In fact the hotel is in a handy location, convenient for the centre and the major sights. We had a spacious, clean room on the top floor, with a lovely view and good bathroom. We knew beforehand that there was no lift, but that was no problem. The man in reception was very helpful and offered to carry our case upstairs for us. There is a coffee machine in the atrium, where guests are entitled to a hot drink and a snack type breakfast in the morning, but why worry about that when you have many great places to have breakfast nearby, including a bakery across the road. We think that El Molinos is a lovely hotel for the price, excellent value for money in a central area handy for the centre and the Alhambra.

The small and cosy hotel is very near to the Alhambra and the town center. We were able to park the car in a narrow street close by. No problem because we did not need the car for 2 days. The room wasn't that big but that was to be expected. It was clean and that what counts the most for us. We did find the beds a bit hard, but we could sleep well though. It was a pity that other quests came 'home' at the middle in the night and were very noisy for awhile. This happened twice for the 2 nights we stayed. Except for this the hotel is to be recommended.

The room is clean enough. The shower is hot and nice. Staffs are very kind and friendly. There are some restaurants, bars, and stores near the hotel. And not so far from the center of Granada. (It's about 10 minutes walk.)

The hotel has just 3 rooms per floor. Ours was one of the rear two, which are either side of an internal patio so all have natural light. It was small but clean and comfortable. There was a notice asking us not to touch the controls of the air conditioning, and it didn't appear to be working, which was not much of a problem in October but would be in the summer, obviously. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. At least one spoke good English. Breakfast was very basic (one roll and coffee) but was included in the 'room only' price of €54. The hotel is not in the smartest part of town, but it's within easy walking distance of the Alhambra and the Plaza Nueva. It was fairly quiet at night. Driving there is quite difficult: Calle Molinos is signposted from some distance away but it's not that obvious when you've reached the street. The hotel is in a section which is one-way (away from the city centre only), and parking outside the hotel, even briefly, is usually impossible. We eventually parked one block away in the Campo del Principe until we'd checked in. We paid €13 per night for the hotel's secure parking, which is very close by.

Nice tiny hotel within walking distance (up a hill) from the Alhambra. Small, friendly staff, helpful in English. No internet or wifi, and the nearest cafe I could find was a good walk away. So small I could distinctly hear the night phone ringing in the lobby...
