Very nice hotel, Good value for money. Could see the Alhambra from the hotel. The hotel is situated on a lively square with lots of restaurants and shops. Very convenient location. The walls are a litle bit too thin. I could hear the guy next door talking on the phone very clearly. Otherwise, no noise. Will stay again if visiting Granada.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location in Granada. We had a room facing the main square which was very quiet in November (although I imagine that it might be somewhat noisier in peak season). Very satisified!

Very good Hotel. Confortable and clean rooms. The hotel is very well located close to the centers of interests. Good quality/price for the breakfeast The only negative point was the fact that our room had no view with a very small windows in fromt of a wall.

Asked for room overlooking Plaza Nueva and duly got one, which meant there was some noise from outside but we were prepared for that. Room also had view of the Alhambra. Breakfast seemed expensive so we didn't try it. Hotel very convenient for walking to nearly all sights, though we did get the bus up to Alhambra. Receptionist booked Alhambra tickets for us - essential to avoid wait of several hours for timed entry to the Nasrid Palaces. N.B. allow at least half an hour to get to the Palaces from the entrance to the Alhambra or you may miss your slot.

Hotel was good, though the rooms were small, Hotel location is excellent with all the main sites close at hand. Only problem is that it's almost impossible to get to by car! (Beware Granada's car lane "tank trap" pillars. They are very difficult to see and easy to hit)

I had a very pleasant experience at Hotel Macia Plaza. My room was small-ish, and looked onto an airshaft, but I was in Granada to see the Alhambra and not the inside of a hotel room so those criteria were not important. The front desk staff were welcoming and always helpful, no matter what I was looking for. The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and with a good variety of cold and warm foods. My room was always spotless as was the bathroom. The hotel's proximity to the Alhambra and to the Albaicin quarter were both pluses for me on this trip. I would DEFINATELY stay again.

The hotel is very nice, in a perfect location if you want visit the city and the alhambra. Our room wasn't very big but comfortable and looks new. The bathroom is big and clean, as the room and the hotel. We hadn't tried the breakfast, but near the hotel you can find some good bars! The staff is very very kind and polite. P.S.: If you're interested to see a flamenco's show, ask the receptionists!

The experience was great! Reservation was precised and charges were exactly as agreed with Venere. The room was small, but the location of the hotel is perfect - accessible to everything...points of interests, shopping areas, restaurants, churches, taxi spots,... We were very glad to have chosen this hotel! Even though the room was small, it was quiet, clean and had free internet access!! We stayed at a five star hotel in Madrid the next night, and it didn't even have the internet access even though they announce it. So if you are simple and enjoy walks, city life, shopping, historical places, and nice food, this hotel is the place to stay. We definitively will return to this hotel and recommend it to family and friends!

This hotel was clean and functional and perfectly adequate for an overnight stop. Our room (108) was rather gloomy, facing an internal part of the building but the bathroom/shower was very efficient. If staying in Granada for more than one night, I would seek out a more 'sophisticated' hotel in the same area. The basement breakfast room is rather soul-less but a reasonable buffet available for 6 euros per person.

The hotel is very well located on a main square and near the Alhambra. It was an easy walk to nice restaurants and all the major sights. We left some clothing in the closet accidentally and the hotel agreed to mail them to us in the U.S. Our only complaint was that we asked for a double room but got two twin beds.

This hotel was very comfortable, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the location was excellent. We were supposed - all five of us - to stay for one night only , but , since we were very well taken care of we decided to spend one more night at the hotel and Granada !The gentleman at teh desk also made us go to Antequera for wich we are very grateful ! I myself had not been to Granda for fifty years and could only see how things have changed . I also met my old friend Raimundo Heredia Heredia from Sacro Monte . We were working to-geather in a Carmen-prodution here in Sweden fifty years ago. To meet him as guide now was really something !!!

Excellent central location with most of the sights on your doorstep (the Albaicin just behind, the cathedral down the road and the Alhambra up the hill opposite, with regular minibuses giving access). The only reason to stay here is the location. My friend and I were given a room facing the square with a balcony. It was a lovely location if all you wanted was to stand on the balcony. Trying to get some sleep there was a different story. The noise from street construction, vehicles passing over a grate in the road and the partying in the square until 4AM made sleep impossible. The second day, hoping the uppity older man who checked us in was not on duty, we asked to be moved. The woman clerk was the most courteous of the four desk employees with whom we had contact . We were given a quieter room off the square. Both rooms were rather shabby-not consistent with the presentation made by the hotel lobby. The rooms need new wallpaper, cleaning of the carpet and furniture, as well as general updating. It's all about the presentation(the hotel lobby) and the location with its beautiful view of the Alhambra. The rooms, however, were not consistent with the price.

Overall good stay at this hotel, very well localized, the only warning for those that arrive with car (it was my case) is the difficulty of access to the place and to park (in public parkings), which in addition is very expensive if you leave the car a whole day.

The staff here were horrible the worst customer service I have had at any hotel in 14 years of international travel covering 21 countries. Very rude and unpleasant, with the exception of one person. In fact, when my 60 year old mother needed help in the middle of the night, they had her walk 25 minutes to another hotel for assistance. Absolutely awful. The location is handy, the bus to La Alhambra is right outside the door, but if you really can't walk further than across the plaza, then the Alhambra is not going to be fun for you anyway (actually there are 2 hotels IN La Alhambra, try there if the walking is not your thing). I would not recommend this place, their option of themselves way exceeds the reality.

Great location close to the Alhambra and Albaicin. Good value for a two star as well, but our air conditioning didn't work and it was 40°C. We booked this room last minute through venere.com as we only stayed in Granada one night. We went to Granada just to see the Alhambra and this was the perfect place to stay because the red "mini-bus" that takes you up to there is right across the street. We had a room in the back so noise was not an issue. We had a 8 am train ride the next morning and the staff was very helpful checking us out and calling a taxi. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the bib-ramblas where we had one of our best meals in Spain!

A pleasant hotel centrally located for the bus up to the Alhambra. Very clean and modern. All those on the front desk had little English, were not particularly guest oriented, and were unable to provide helpful tourist information and advice. Reaching the hotel by car in a traffic restricted zone, finding and accessing the reommended underground car park about 400m away in traffic congested streets proved a huge time consuming challenge, and very expensive. Better not to bring a car into central Granada! The entirely cold Continental breakfast was most disappointing for beginning a busy active day of sightseeing - - better to skip it!

I stayed in a single room in the Macia Plaza. It wasn't really big enough to swing a cat, but it was OK. The TV worked and the shower was good although the bathroom was very cramped. The room window opened onto a light well and this meant I got noise at night drifting up and when the cleaning personnel decided to have a very loud conversation at about 7:30am. The location can't really be beaten though unless you could get something actually in the Albaycin looking at the Alhambra, which you aren't going to do for 50 odd Euros a night. Short walk up the hill to the Alhambra, short walk to the Albaycin, short walk to Plaza Bib Rambla. Very well located. The breakfast is 5.50 Euros and probably isn't worth your money compared to what you can get in a cafe. I must emphasise again the location, you could get it very wrong and stay somewhere quite nasty in Granada (in terms of appearance). This part of town is the place to be.

The location is the best in Granada, right on the plaza Nuevo. Perfect location for sightseeing and pleasant vists to the local resaurants, cafes, and shops. We found the hotel once we understood the map given to us by the tourist office. If driving, you may enter the Plaza Neuvo area by driving on a street named Elvira, somewhat narrow. This was the most convientant way to drop off passengers and luggage. Parking is not available, except for a nearby underground parking garage. Great spot for visiting a great city.

The hotel is very well situated on the Plaza Nueva, a square in the centre and also the starting point of buses to the Alhambra. Service was good. My room, a single room was situated on the bottom floor and I found it a bit noisy, I could hear the noises coming from the entrance and the front desk. The hotel is located on a plaza at the foot of the Alhambra. It's a 20' walk up a steep hill to the Alhambra from there. You can see 2 Guitar maker shops on the way up... Down-town and other sites are close by. Loading and unloading is a bit tricky as you cannot drive all the way up to the hotel. But nobody minds if you leave the car a couple of minutes by the taxi stands which are some 50m from the hotel. Rooms are a bit small but practical and the bathrooms have everything you need and are clean.

Best thing about this place is its location on the Plaza Nueva - ideal for the Alhambra bus and also for the main attractions in town. Overall very happy with the place. Major advantage of the Macia Plaza is its perfect location – Plaza Nueva is the focal point of the city conveniently sandwiched between charming Albayzin, Alhamra and the rest of the city attractions (shopping and restaurants districts). Room standard lives up to hotel’s two stars but nothing more. No frills rooms are clean and functional with very pleasant bathroom. Beds could be longer though (seemed like no more than 185 cm edge to edge). Rooms overlooking the Plaza Nueva get noisy in the evening/night and the best option is to follow the habits of people of Granada and stay up (or better out) till 2 or 3 am when the place becomes quiet enough to assure refreshing sleep. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax ask for rear rooms. Hotel is located in ‘no car’ zone. On arrival you can get through the barrier before the Plaza Nueva by pressing the hotels’ button to drop off the luggage. Then the nearest car park is at Gran Via de Colon, some 5-7 min walk (12E/day or so).

Hotel molto carino in posizione perfetta per girare a piedi il centro di Granada. Proprio davanti all'albergo c'è la fermata dei bus che vanno all'Alhambra, all'Albaicin o a Sacromonte. Le stanze sono pulite e confortevoli e la colazione (non compresa nel prezzo della camera) ha un prezzo onesto (5€ a persona). Un hotel che sicuramente da consigliare a tutti!!

Excellent and staff. My only complaint is that the single room was really too small, claustrophobic small. Single travelers ought to be offered a little more.

Hotel is located in an area where vehicles are restricted. Unfamiliar with the one way streets and location finding the place was difficult. There is no parking nearby. Overall, the Hotel is in a great location near many attractions and is nice.

Fantastic spacious room overlooking the Plaza .. Reception staff were very helpful .. One small notre .. the doors slam which can make it a bit noisy at times. However, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This was a great place to stay in Granada. It has an excellent location on the square with easy access to buses to the Ahlambra and close to restuarants and the main shopping area. The rooms are airconditioned and ours had a balcony overlooking the square. The room was very clean with good bathroom. It is good value for money.

The hotel is in the heart of the tourist areas, with views of the Alhambra. The hotel has no bar or busy public areas (no need with so much close to its doors), this makes for a quieter environment within the hotel rooms. Our rooms did not face to Plaza at the front of the hotel, although these did not have any views from the windows, they were very quite and cool. Our stay here was very enjoyable and quite a bargain. We would choose this hotel for any future visit.
