An excellent hotel to stay in if you're planning to visit Granada. The surroundings are nothing special but you'll easely reach Granada center walking 15 minutes. Our triple room was great and spacius and if we'll plan to visit again Granada in future I'll eveluate to stay in MA Alhamar again.

Staff at Reception was helpful and pleasant. Propety is maintaind well and offers good value. Since we arrived on a Sunday, we did not find any restaurants around that were open. The reataurant offers good basic meals. Laundry services in the hotel seemd to be a bit pricey and there we did not find a launderette close by.So if you are on a long trip, like us, rememebr to carry enough clothes!

The hotel is very pretty with a large atrium and inside the Juderia which makes it attractive to walk to that neighborhood. Rooms clean, spacious enough and modern. receptionists incompetent and not very forthcoming with interesting details about the area. Extremely difficult to reach by car (took us 45m. just circling it)even with GPS. Still I might go back again now that I can reachit and do not need the help of the reticent stuff.

From the moment we were greated by martin until we left our stay at the hotel was warm and inviting. Our rooms were very nice and a good price. The hotel is easy to find if you are driving as it located just as you enter the city. You should take the bus to the Alhumbra as it is a very high grade walk up to it

First time at this hotel. The hotel is located close to center of the city , 10 to 15 min. on foot and you are walking through narrow streets and squares packed with all sorts of merchandise, bars and diners. We were very pleased with the hotel. Our booking did not show up when we checked in but frontdesk manager was very quick to fix that problem with a smile on his face.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are good size for Europe; we had 2 double beds. The parking under the hotel is secure, but may be challenging to park for large cars. We were a bit disappointed that the toilet seat was slightly broken as well as one of the window blinds, but everything else was nice. We would probably stay further into the center of town next time.

The hotel was good and the relationship between price and quality was very good. It is located by the main shopping street in Granada and 10 min. walking from the historic center. We just had a bad experience in our check-in. We had book a 3-bed room for a very good price. When we arrived the receptionist brought a map and indicated us that there were no rooms available in that hotel and we had to move to a 5 star hotel 10 more min. walking away from the city center. I had booked this hotel precisely for its convenient location, a walking distance from the historic center. Besides we didn't have the time to move to another hotel, we had arrived by car and the traffic was terrible. I said to the receptionist that I had booked a room there and I expected a room there. He then told us excuses about the mattresses being wet. He said he was allowed to relocate us, and I said that if he did so I would make a complaint. After an unpleasant argument for some minutes, all of a sudden we had our room available. We were happy with the hotel and the other employees, only we had to go through this unpleasant situation.

The hotel is OK but for a 4 stars hotel one would expect them to speak English. Also, I found my car w/ a scratch after 2 days in their garage.

First time in Granada, middle aged couple + daughter visiting Alhambra and city. Hotel suited us very well. Plaza Nueva is about 10 minute walk from the Hotel where we got a frequent bus up to the Alhambra (10 mins). Plaza Nueva. Local taberna good value tapas (in calle mulhacen). Airport bus 3 euro at intersection Calle Nueva de al virgen and Acera del darro(10 minutes).

Excellent value for the price & location, though we were not able to connect to the Internet. (Maybe our MAC/Airport couldn't configure properly????) Public Street signs in Granada on the major through ways are poor, so it took an hour of circling to locate, but once found, our bearings were easily established and very convenient to touring the main attractions and Al Hambra.

Granada is expensive so this hotel was pretty good value at 70 or so euros. there are some great local tapas and beer bars that you can sit outside with the locals and enjoy the warm spanish evenings and feel like a local.

There was a large group with many children running around and being extremely noisy. It was a big distraction to other guests, but noone could stop the kids. The front desk clerk did a very nice job. It would be helpful to have more of a concierge type service or a list of recommended restaurants both withing walking distance and by taxi.

We had had a long drive to Granada from Rojales 3.5 hrs and ititially struggled to find the hotel with the maps provided which gave few street names and little clarity as to direction ie N S E W. However, on arrival the service from the hotel staff was excellent! We decided to stay an extra day, unfortunateley there was no room in the hotel, however the staff worked hard to find us alternative accomodation with a sister hotel MA Nazzaires, which was out of this world and very reasonably priced. We would certainly reccommed the hotel group to travelllers and intend to return later in the year.

I love this hotel. One of the best whilst travelling around Europe. It was so cheap for what it offers. I went during winter so the price was relatively good. It's a 4-star hotel indeed. It had all the amenities, its spacious, bathroom was good, I'd definitely recommend this hotel. One staff member with a wacky put-on British accent was very helpful. Bear in mind however that Granada is empty and "dead" during Sundays. The hotel has parking as well but the cost is a bit too much for it. Nevertheless, you can park any where any way in Granada.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms and bathrooms are large and pleasant. The desk staff was very helpful. My group did not like the area that the hotel is located in. It is not that great of an area. To be fair, I would not stay in Granada again. It did not seem like any hotel was in a good area. The room looked out over the street and had windows that opened wide. The beds were large and comfortable.

When we checked in the first night, the initial room assignment was not acceptable due to a noisy location. The desk clerk did find us another room after much discussion. The hotel had several tour groups visiting during our two night stay. The restaurant was always crowded and we were quoted a price of 25 Euros @ for a very poor looking buffet. The hotel location was OK, not as centrally located as we had hoped. Our room was clean, but too warm at night.

Very nice hotel, modern with large rooms. Very comfortable beds and nice amenities in the bathroom. Good closet space and a minifrige in the room. Room had excellent natural light through the large windows. Lighting in the room was adequate for reading. Only negative comment is that this hotel is too far from the Cathedral and Moorish Quarter for a traveler with mobility problems or does not like to walk. However, the front desk staff will call a taxi for guests. Area around the hotel is safe but not too lively though the bar next door opens early for morning pastry and coffee. Internet is open beginning at 8 AM and closes when the bar does. About 15 - 20 minutes from the train station by taxi and 20 - 25 minutes from the bus station. The hotel itself was really very nice. Wish it were in a more lively, central area of town.

Hotel well located for walking tours and local shopping and restaurants throughout the city. Local bus service is excellent for going to the Alhambra and Sacre Monte. Hotel staff (especially desk clerk Martin) were friendly and accomodating. Computer maps do not reflect how small and accessible the city areas are. One can easily walk to most areas.

I stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel and services provided were exactly as indicated on the VENERE website. If you book through VENERE, this place is a very good deal (I paid 60€ per night instead of the 150€ regular rate). Please be aware of the 20 minute walk into town, though.

This was a luxurious hotel for the special price we paid by booking online. The desk staff spoke English and were really friendly and helpful. While not within walking distance of the entrance to the Alhambra, it was a nice walk to the "main drag" and Cathedral. Best of all, it was away from the touristy area so the cafes and small markets (several choices on the same street as the hotel within two short blocks) were frequented by a fair number of locals, had good food and good prices. Take a cab to the Alhambra; it's worth the 12e fare to be in this kind of comfort in an actual neighborhood and blocks from the city center.

The hotel is OK. So is the staff. Easy to find it by car. You can walk till the center if you are young. The best way to go to the center from the hotel is by bus. There is a bus stop just around the corner. From the center, a minibus to Alhambra.

Hotel staff was very nice and very helpful. It seems to be well managed and is very clean. The hotel is located in a local business area, close to shopping, grocery stores, etc. which was very convenient for us during our long stay. It is only a few minutes walk to the more crowded historic areas.

This was, overall, a nice hotel. It was slightly further from the center of the city than we anticipated, but since we like walking we didn't mind too much. The bathrooms in the rooms were really large and nice. We asked for a double bed room but were given two twins, but otherwise the reservation process went smoothly.

Beautiful hotel with big and clean rooms. It is well located, about a 15 minute walk to most of the sights. GREAT bakery on the other end of the street. If you are not a great driver who can handle Manhattan traffic on itty bitty narrow streets that are usually not at all labeled with plenty of 3 lane roundabouts and some scary drivers who cut across all three at whim, do NOT drive in Granada. To get to the hotel (if you dare drive), use the freeway that runs around the city (it drops you right at the hotel and yo avoid city driving, though the traffic isn't fun) and hotel parking is cheaper than other garages (12 vs 15 EUR/day). The bathroom is truly deluxe with a giant bathtub, large fluffy towels and a heat lamp to turn on after your shower. We paid about 70 EUR a night, which was a great price - traveling off season meant better prices and shorter lines at the Alhambra. Granada is a beautiful city and this is a wonderful and comfortable hotel to be at.

An excellent hotel that is hard to fault and good value. First class service. Friendly and helpful multi-lingual staff. Comfortable beds. Quiet rooms. Nice breakfasts. About 1 mile from centre of Granada so an easy walk. Granada tour busses stop about 200 yds from hotel.
