Stay at the Hotel Las Almenas when you travel to this historic city in southern Spain. It’s a recently opened 3 star Granada, Spain hotel well located just south of the city centre, within walking distance of the historic Jewish neighbourhood called El Realejo, the cathedral, and the Royal Chapel of Granada.

The Hotel Las Almenas is a modern hotel equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access, a lift, a luggage room, and a 24-hour reception desk. The friendly staff can provide room service, laundry and ironing service, currency exchange, car rental, concierge services, and shuttle service to and from the Granada Airport (officially called Federico García Lorca Airport). Garage parking is available for a fee if reserved in advance. On the menu at the Las Almenas Restaurant are a variety of dishes drawn from the traditional cuisine of Granada and Andalusia.

Along the street are restaurants, tapas bars, and a popular department store called El Corte Inglés. Directly to the east is the Realejo district, known for its picturesque Andalusian villas. To the north of the Hotel Las Almenas is the city’s historic centre, around the Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel (Capilla Real) where the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella and Ferdinand, are buried. The Alhambra Palace and the Generalife are approx. 1.3 km/0.8 mile east of the hotel.

No competence and misleading indications offered by the manager. little room with no fridge sold as a "de luxe" one. No help in booking tickets for alhambra, at the point that i had to be helped by a different unpayd hotel that informed me about the reserved places hotels can enjoy and use for their customers. Impossible to use the wifi for the first day because they gave me a wrong key-code and noone realised the mistake!!! NO TO RECOMMEND

Excellent small-medium hotel, 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Granada. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Very happy with the service. The only small comment I have is that the wireless doesn't work in the higher floors, so one has to come down to connect near the reception.

The receptionist was very eager to give us information about the city. After checking us in in English, he had a conversation with my mom in Spanish, he then helped a couple in Italian, and then later another in French. Totally fluent in all four. The server at the attached bar was also very friendly, and full of great conversation, even at 11pm. Room was wonderfully decorated. Hotel is close to many major bus lines and major landmarks of the city. And the Corte Ingles is just across the street!

Very nice hotel in excellent location with a very helpful reception desk. The man in particular was very helpful with travel advice and things to do. 5-10 minute walkt to centre of city and Bib-Rambla, etc, and a few minutes stroll from riverside walkway. Plenty of bars and a supermarket nearby too. Excellent price.

Outstanding stay really. The man at reception was incredibly helpful & had great recommendations on what to do in Granada including the best spot in Albaycin to get the most amazing shots of Alhambra Palace. Really good location, close to the hop on hop off stop, easily within walking distance of Albaycin, Realejo, endless restaurants & was also suprisingly quiet. Most definitely would recommend.

The hotel located very close to the city central and is relatively easy to access Alhambra bus. The air conditioning worked a little much, but the shower roon is quite comfortable to relax myself! It is good choice to select this hotel if you stay for a few days in Granada.

THAT HOTEL WAS TOTALLY GOOD..OUR RECEPTIONIST JOSE WAS A REMARKABLE MAN CERY POLITE AND HELPING. HE HELPED US TO MAKE RESERVATION FOR ALHAMBRA PALACE 1 AM. AND MANAGED TO FIND TICKETS. VERY GENTLE MAN. ROOMS WERE OLD FACHIONED BUT CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. THERE IS UNDERGROUND GARAGE FOR RENTAL CAR WHICH IS 10 € PER NIGHT WHICH IS CHEAP COMPARED TO MADRID (28.90€) ONLY MINUS WAS THE WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTION WHICH WAS NOT ENOUGH IN OUR ROOM. REST WAS FLAWLESS...ADVICE TO EVERYONE...

Besides the cleanness of the room and good location, I want to mention how much I am grateful to the owner family. During my stay I was in a big trouble, and nobody can be more helpful than the owner family. Their hospitality and compassion was amazing!! I will never visit Granada without staying at their place. The cafe/bar beside the hotel was also great. Good foods/drinks with good price, and their service was nice too.

3 nights. It is a big disadvantage that there are no breakfasts. The cafe nearby do not offer "healthy" food like yogurt, etc.

The gentleman at the reception was extremely helpful and friendly. He suggested various hidden beauties of Granada, a nice flamenco evening show and a good tapas bar. Although breakfast is not included in the hotel rate you can have a cheap and good andalusian breakfast in the bar next door (with the best orange juice we had during our stay in Andalusia)

Great value. The location is near a bus stop, but Granada taxis are cheap and easy to use. We took a bus to the gypsy caves and walked to the cathedral which is 10 min away. Near the cathedral you can catch a bus to Alhambra. One staff member was extremely friendly and helpful, the other two not so much. The room was large and lovely, newly renovated. There is a cafe attached which is convenient.

A lovely little hotel in an excellent location. Staff are charming - especially Jose who is always smiling and helpful. Rooms on the side are considerably quieter than those on the main street. Unfortunately bar and cafe were closed for big clean so unable to comment on these. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. A very pleasant stay

The overall quality of service was very good. we had two issues with our stay: 1. The hotel doesnt have enough parking spaces so we had to park our car very very far away which wasted a lot of time and effort 2. the hotel is quite far away from the main attractions (Alhambra first of all)

Wonderful family run hotel. We had the superior room with large terrace, spacious and wonderful to sit out in. Excellent location on main shopping street yet terrace far enough back to mean no intrusive noises. Extremely helpful host with excellent English helped us with buses, places to go etc. Would return when next in Granada.

I thought Las Alemenas was an excellent hotel, both for the sheer quality of it, but also the quality for the money spent. This was in part because of the well-furnished and lovely room, the windows that helped cut out noise, but also because of the excellent customer service provided. I would be hard-pressed to find a hotel of the same quality for this price in my hometown of Vancouver.
