Hotel needs a very serious maintenance and re-painting work both on rooms and toilet. Also the Tv set was old, small and not a lot of programs. Certainly not a 4 star hotel

Bath tap did not work for bath, it was fine for a shower. All staff were friendly and helpful. Reception bar was very good. Top floor bar was also very good and views were magnificent. it was the highlight of the stay to sit in the bar early evening and look out over the city and the Alhambra. Local restaurants and bars all had good value food. We could walk everywhere in the city from our hotel. We took a local bus out to a village in the foothills and had a wonderful walk along a valley and meal at a restaurant on the valleyside. The local goatherd came past with his animals......magic !!

We expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel but overall it wasn’t a bad experience. Our main disappointments were: 1/ the Internet access - available in the lobby; it worked just once (in the first day) during a 5 day stay. The computer was down for the rest of the time. And not to mention the price!1 Euro for 15 minutes, while an Internet Café would charge you 1 Euro for 1 hour. We got FREE Internet access, which actually worked all the time, in a 2 star hostal in Madrid, but couldn’t get it in this 4 star hotel, not even for the 1Euro fee. 2/ The service in the "Panoramic" restaurant. We had dinner there one night hoping to be a festive, memorable one but it wasn’t. Beside the fact that no one spoke a word in English or French, we’ve been disappointed with the quality of the service & food. Maybe it was just our bad luck!

A lovely hotel and the staff made us very welcome. We had a room on the sixth floor which was not only very quiet but also offered a superb view of the Alhambra Palace. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody who wanted to spend a few days seeing the sights of Granada because all the tourist sights are within easy walking distance - even the Alhambra (20 minutes). Parking is available in the public parking garage immediately next door to the hotel. Parking charges are slightly higher than advertised by the hotel and the charge cannot be added to your hotel bill as is stated in the hotel's room guide. The free WiFi in the room was a great bonus. If driving you should note that the hotel is situated some 200 yards from where the SatNav places the hotel. This proved rather awkward as the one way system doesn't allow you to backtrack and you are committed to another circuit of the local area. Highly Recommended!

Good location and value for money. Take the bus when you arrive at the airport and get off at the last stop, hotel 100m away, 3 euros. Staff helpful and freindly. Rooms clean and basic but walls very thin, you can hear all noise from next door. Breakfast is buffet style and quite basic. Swimming pool was closed from 1st October, doesn't tell you that on website. Some good Tapas bars locally though, and only a 5 minute walk to centre. If you're planning on visiting THE ALHAMBRA, book your tickets in advance through their website. The queues are terrible for the ticket office, I would imagine some people must have queued for an hour to get tickets. If you pre book, you just go to a machine, put your credit card in and it prints your tickets and you go straight in. TIP - If you don't like the 1/2 hour time slot the website gives you to visit The Palace, try refreshing the page! Enjoy.

60€ is a good price for this hotel. It is not as difficult to access than hotels right in the touristic places. 15minutes away from the place 'Isabel la catolica' by walk. There is a public parking just under the hotel (1.5€/hour, 15€/day). Not a lot of restaurants nearby, you need to walk from 5 to 10 minutes or to go to the hotel restaurant, which was not a problem for us. The swimming pool is quite small.

We stayed 2 days in the "semana santa" (easter). The hotel was expensive ( special "semana santa" prices), the rooms are very small. The historic district (cathedral, palace..) is very near - a walk of 5 minutes. The breakfast was very poor. Take it if you get a good price, luxury is not of interest and breakfast not important. The rooms are clean and the city is very near.

This was our first time at Hotel Citymar San Anton. We are a young, married couple - first time in Spain. The hotel grew on us as time progressed. We appreciated its good location and central position in visiting places of interest either by walking or using the nearby bus stops. The hotel was also within good walking distance of the tourist information centre as well as various places for snacks, meals and drinkies. The very close-by airport connection was handy - we saved 19 euros between us by using this service. If you arrive in Granada late - think the last run is around 8pm, so you'll have to get a taxi. There is a 24 hour shop about 5 mins walk away - this was handy if you return late and don't want to use the the Room Service. It is advised online to purchase tickets for the Alhambra Palace in advance. We had no problem going up there via bus around midday and purchasing tickets on the door. It cost 20 euros for 2 peops and 3 euros each for the audio jobby. (Take note, it was not such a busy time in March and was during the week.) Well worth visiting. The bus service is well handy at only 1 euro each, per ride! Our only real disappointment was the hotel pool not being in use. It is situated on the roof terrace. It is rather small and not working. It looked bit grubby..... probably because we are not in holiday season yet. Local places for nosh was mediocre. But, come to the conclusion that perhaps this is how local cuisine is. We had no previous experience to compare it to. The hotel restaurant was extremely quiet - so much so that it felt awkward to dine there in the evening. We did pluck up our courage to eat at the restaurant on our last night - we were the only people there. It did feel a bit strange having the whole restaurant and a dedicated waiter to ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. It was the first 'not over-cooked' food we ate in 4 days! The staff were pleasant and understood us fine. We did ask to chang

I am surprised by the swimming pool. It is too small, like a jakusi. The photo of this swimming pool on their site is not the reality.

Staff was very accomodating and knowledgable. Rooms were very spacious and an excellent value for your money. Breakfast was outstanding. Convenient parking next door and/or very limited free parking on the street. Location was good, quiet area. Highly recommend this property.

St Anton was the best hotel on our trip through Spain, even better than a far more expensive hotel in an other spanish city where we have also stayed. We will recommend the hotel.

I was more than pleased than with San Anton! The price that we got the room for from Venere was unbelievably cheap. We really enjoyed the pool and view on the top of the hotel and the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. I have saved all of my information so that I will be able to stay there again the next time I am in Granada.

My only complaint was the provision of internet access to guests. The computer etc was situated in the ground floor lobby which was noisy. The system was a "coin in slot" payment which is always annoying and the charging was excessive and absurd in a hotel of this quality.

Thanks for Venere for getting me a very attractive deal at the San Anton Hotel. Having stayed at other central Granada hotels I rate San Anton as my favourite - excellent accommodation, great food and fanatstic roof terrace with 360 degree vista and refreshing pool more than makes up for the extra 5 minutes walk to the centre

This was our first trip to Europe and our first night stay. Having always traveled in US we probably expected more from a four start hotel...it would compare to a three star in the states, but we did enjoy our stay and the staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful...it isn't their fault we don't speak your language!
