This was our second visit to the hotel but this time with friends who were impressed with both the hotel and the staff. The location of the hotel was ideal for everything we wanted to see and do. We will definately use the hotle again.

It was our first time in Granada. The only thing is that we booked a double room but they gave us a 2 beds room joined. The hotel is beautiful and with many conforts. I would raccomend it to my friends.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel and to be honest it was better than i remembered! I remember it being lovely the 1st time but seemed to enjoy ourselves much more this time. It is within very easy walking distance of the main shopping, eating and drinking areas as well as the cathedral, the bull ring is a short ride on the local buses with the bus stops being just over the road from the hotel. It also has easy access to the Alhambra. The roof top pool is small but nice, although the bar prices are a bit expensive, but there are plenty of cafe's that are local to the hotel if you want a snack. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so we can't comment on that. Highly recommended and would definately stay here again.

This is a functional, short-stay hotel, very central to the sights in Granada. It was clean, bright and the staff on the counter were helpful at all times. It lacked a certain warmth on arrival but that was just the nature of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay of two nights. It is a suitable base for sight-seeing.

The hotel porter was outstanding, sorting out our luggage and car parking (both coming and going) and was genuinely surprised when I tipped him. Only down side was the roof terrace is only open during the "season" (mid June to mid Sep)

Central location excellent. Good nearby bus services to main sites. Room had no real outside view but was quiet (apparently rooms with views outwards on to roads can be noisy) Hotel car park on floor below reception was extremely convenient, but expensive at EURO 17 per day. But all car parking in City is expensive Didn't eat in restaurant, but plenty of local eateries for breakfast and dinner. Overall extremely good value for a central city hotel.

It does help that the hotel is easy to find, but most of the rooms overlook a busy street and a big commercial center (El Corte Ingles), which is not quite as pleasant as I hoped.

They were totally unfriendly, asked to pay even for a never made phone call, then they said the taxes were not included in the price, and so on. The hotel is not a true 4 stars, maybe 1 or 2. Breakfast was open buffet, but the quality was lacking. The location is quite confortable, but not if you have to go there by car and park.

Arrived late was welcomed well porter parked car for us. Both bar and Breakfast service exceptional. Did not use hotel for other meals. Stepped straight out of the front door to the centre of the town, abundance of restaurants within a ten minute walk. Room reasonably sized and equipped. Being a front bedroom on a busy street could be noisey if window was left open, but the room was airconditioned so this was not a problem.

The hotel is nice and the rooms were very nice. The location - just OK - but there is no other hotel that I saw in a better place (try to book the Parador-it can be booked up very early - there is also another hotel on the grounds of the Alhambra-try that too. The only thing to see in Granada is the Alhambra and it is a MUST SEE. If you are traveling around go to Ronda - in our opinion the best town in the south of Spain followed by Cadiz. PROBLEM:We first booked a room for one night while we were staying in Seville at another Sercotel, however we decided we wanted to stay two nights so we went online and booked it with Venere. We didn't know the price was different (the phone booking was 120 euro and the online was 90 euro) and when we arrived the women at the front desk was very rude and asked us what she was suppose to do with the phone reservation. We had to argue with her to get our Venere price (and we could have booked with many other hotels).

Ottimo albergo, ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo.

The room was old and had a lot of things that didn't work well (security box, outer curtains, sliding doors of the placard, the shower cup fell down). We ask asistance for the doors. but then we discover the other problems and decided not to ask for solution because we don´t want to have employees all the time into the room. Recomendation: A very nice restaurant on the way to San Nicolás in the Albaycín, called Verde Luna with a marvelous sight of La Alhambra and delicious food.

Got a greatr rate for Granada and the Hotel was well located. The roof top is the best place for great views of the Alhambra. Front desk staff spoke good english and were very helpful. Across the street is a large department store with a full service grocery store. You could walk to the Alhambra but a taxi for 4 was only 4.50 erros! All in all we would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was an excellent value for the price. I was very pleased when we arrived and saw that the rooms and bathroom were spacious and the hotel was located in a very nice area- close to the main Granada attractions. The staff was very helpful. The only disappointing thing about the hotel was that the pool was closed for repairs. After travelling through Southern Spain and its 100 degree temps. we were really looking forward to some pool time! We had driven into Granada and the garage at the hotel was very easy to access and with the reasonable room rates I didn't mind paying the 13 Euro a night to park there.

We were definitely disappointed in this hotel and the standoffish staff at the reception desk. The people were not friendly and the hotel itself is in need of a face-lift - the rooms and hallways were very dingy and depressing. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others.

This is an excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. We booked early so got a very good price for such a quality hotel. The location is very central for enjoying Granada: on the first day we walked up to and around the Alhambra and then over to the Albeicin and back to the hotel for a comprehensive view of the city. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance to all the local sights, restaurants and bars. The offered a garage at a reasonable rate and if you chose not to ave breakfast there are a number of good cafes right next to the hotel. The rooms were slightly shabby, but for low season, it wasn`t too overprices. However, I would not pay the amount asked for in the high season.

This hotel is very central on the main street. The airport bus drops off very close and it is in the middle of the shops/tapas bars. The bus stop to the Alhambra is 6 mins. walk. The cathedral is 10 mins.McDonalds is 4 mins. This is a very flash looking traditional hotel and a base for local functions.they welcome children.the breakfast is extra but worth buying as it is excellent and will last you all day.Granada closes on Sundays so shop Saturday and do sights Sunday.Hotel restaurant average but plenty of choice in local area.

An excellent stay. Whilst the amount of english that the staff spoke was minimal, we managed to still enjoy our stay and it made us work a bit harder at trying to speak spanish - which is always poilte! Overall, the hotel was fine and seemed well run. However, on arrival and checking in I asked the head receptionist about breakfast and was told that it was included as part of the package and gave me the times so that my brother and I could have breakfast during our stay at the hotel. When checking-out, however, the same receptionist told me that I now had to pay 10EUR per person for breakfast (except for the last last day). This was not what I had been told at the outset and so in the end the receptionist waived the breakfast charges. I therefore think that problems such as this could be avoided by Venere providing information specific for the guests as to what is and is not included in the price of the stay and effectively conveying this to the hotel staff. Many thanks.

An excellent hotel for the price paid-service was competent but unfriendly/unsmiling. And the pool photos indicate a large pool although it is not much bigger than a plunge pool-certainly swimming a few lenghts was not much exercise to work off food & drink!!!

We were very happy with the hotel and staff. We arrived late evening and despite not being able to communicate in English, the porter couldn't have been more helpful with giving us assistance with the map and advising us to leave the car and take the bus. All this done with him speaking Spanish and Me English. And, before we retired, he made a point of telling us to go up to the pool terrace to take in the view, which was specatcular! Again the next day, our car was brought up from the carpark for us and bags taken to the car etc. I cannot fault the hotel at all, and would highly recommend it. Will definitely return to Carmen Sercotel.

Took my wife for a surprize four day long weekend and earned myself a whole load of brownie points with this one. A four star hotel that pushes the four star rating to the max.(It wouldn`t take much to give it five stars) We couldn`t fault the place except to say that it is a city centre hotel and so don`t expect any great views unless you go onto the roof terrace (complete with bar and pool). The breakfast choice was as good as anywhere i`ve eaten before. Staff were very helpful, friendly and pleasant. Ideal location in the centre of town. Originally chose here to see the Alhambra Palace but didn`t realise that Granada was as big and there was so much to see and do. This resulted in not getting to visit the palace and so unfortunately it means we`ll have to go back(sooner rather than later)and i know where i`ll be staying. Granada has a maze of shopping streets and can be as lively or as quiet as you want. Be sure to move around various bars when drinking as this ensures a varied diet.(Tapas is the norm) Granada coupled with the Carmen Hotel realy did make this one of the best short breaks we`ve ever had.

In camera però l'aria condizionata soffiava dritta in viso a chi era coricato a letto.

An all round good hotel. The only fault I can think of is a $10 extra charge per day (service charge) which wasn't in the booking price. Breakfast of Euro 13 is a bit steep. Laundry prices were steep too. The location was excellent and we walked to most places. The hotel was clean and we had no real complaints. At Euro70 per night, this was a good deal.

I'm disappointed that not all staffs at the reception desk know how to speak English. Room & Bathroom are huge, but the tv is very small in relation. Furniture & finished (especially carpet) are old and dated for a 4 star hotel. In general, I don't think this hotel deserves a 4 star rating.

It is a big new building in the new and busy part of the city, with shops, a pub and a cash machine in the hall. It's not really a characteristic place. But it's a walking distance from anywhere in town (30 min uphill to the Alhambra gates, more or less the same to Mirador San Nicolas). The walks are really really nice. There is a splendid tapas bar fifty meters to the right going out of the hotel, always crowded by locals. The staff were not the friendliest people we've ever met but nothing to be upset about. Rooms were fine. We liked it.

It is a 4 star hotel, but the price was incredibly low. It is very conveniently located in the center of the Granada city and just in front of the department store Corte Ingles. My reservation was not actually made due to some mistake. But when I showed them the printing of reservation, they agreed to offer me the same type of the room at the same price. It was good. It is a well established hotel and beautiful. But the staff are too busy to take good care of each customer.

The hotel is in the center of Granada. By taxi to Alhambra it is about 4 €. The reception wasn't to friendly, when they saw the venere.com internet price. They thought the 2-day price should be for one day, but at the end they accepted the price. The air-condition of the rooms has not to much power (in summer you often have temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees celsius outside). Parking is 12,5 € per day (you have no other chance). The quality/price relation is quite good.

Good 4 star hotel with every confort and facilities (private garage and swimming pool). Very chip price in July. A good choice for some days in Granada.

Lovely hotel very near all the attractions, just on the road from Plaza Real, difficult to find as alot of streets are one way,and few street have name signs. There is valet parking at 10 euros per day. Breakfast is a buffet and not cheap but there is a cafe just next door, nice rooms and a pool on the roof. Good place to stay a real 4star hotel.
