The Hotel Erato is a recently refurbished hotel, located in Gournes Pediados on the island of Crete, and just 15 km (9.3 miles) east of Heraklion.
The hotel is a short walk from a sandy beach and only a few meters from the village centre, where you will find cafes, bars, taverns, restaurants and shops. For the party seekers, Chersonisos is a town with numerous bars and discos, and is only a 10 minute drive away.
This family run Crete hotel, features a sparkling outdoor swimming pool surrounded by deck chairs and umbrellas, a fabulous restaurant and bar, an Internet point in the lobby, as well as an outdoor terrace area.

Crete is the largest island of Greece, an island with invaluable archaeological findings, and the birth place of the most ancient European civilisations. Crete is divided in 4 districts, each one with his own history. The district of Heraklion is in the middle of the island with many great tourist sights, such as the ancient city of Knossos and the museum of Heraklion.
Only 500 metres (0.3 miles) from the hotel is the D.E.K.K. International Exhibition centre and the Gournes village centre is only a few steps away. There are also regular bus connections from Gournes to Chersonisos, Agios Nikolaos and Heraklion.
