Rica Hotel No. 25 - Gothenburg

This is an excellent hotel, very well located for access from airport and to the town. The surroundings, whilst not attractive do not detract from the brand offered. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Previous reviews which I read prior to my visit are NOT now relevant. I would definitely use again and reccomend.

The hotel is general OK. Is located next to large roads and the railway, but the noice from here was not vere disturbing. The room was very small. The cleaning of the room OK. Breakfast was excelent but it was partly hard to see the served buffet properly due to poor lighting. The photographs on the website of the hotel facade is misleading. Parking facilities are difficult.

Staff was very friendly! It is located perfect just a short walk from the centralstation. The railway traffic did not bother me. I stayed in a singel room that was not renovated yet. There was an awful smell from the bathroom, like in a mens public toilet. The breakfast was exellent! With something for everyone. I would most definitely stay there again!

Very nice hotel; I had a spacious single room, essentially and confortably furnished and clean, overlooking the railway station - but still silent; the bed was very confortable, and the breakfast was absolutely great. I stayed one week for attending a scientific congress, and I didn't miss home!

The hotel is okey. But it is situated across from the railway, and you can hear trains/prams about every 10 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel from the center of the town, and the fasade is kind of hidden in a backalley. But all in all its an okey hotel, the breakfast was very good (inkluded in the price). There is no minibar in the room, only a shelf (no fridge).

Staff is very friendly. Location is central, but overlooking the central station's train tracks which are even busy at night.

We were on an eight days long bike-trip in Västergötland (Western Sweden)and in addition we stayed a couple of days in Gothenburg at the Rica Hotel. From this address we were very close to all the facilities in the city centre of gothenburg, so it was easy to get there on foot. For the two of us the Rica Hotel was a good choice, the room was clean and whithin the Hotel itself quiet. But facing the Gothenburg Central Station with lots of incoming and outgoing trains it was impossible to let the windows open - it was actually too noisy. Nevertheless we would advice anyone other this Hotel especially with its very outstanding breakfast buffet which was really on top.
