We stayed at Le Mas des Romarins for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon in Spain and France. We were impressed with the beautiful setting and charm of the property - the view from the dining courtyard is amazing! It is a wonderful location, less than a 10 minute walk from the quaint village of Gordes. The hotel was in a very peaceful atmosphere and the rooms were very cool, dark and quiet at night compared to the last hotel we stayed at... so we slept very well! The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The bathrooms in particular were much nicer than we encountered in many of the other hotels in Europe. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay there again!

This was our first stay at Hotel mas des Romarins and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting of the hotel was so convenient for the village of Gordes. The views spectacular, and eating our evening meal on the terrace was a memorable occasion. The only downside was the ill-fitting bathroom door!

This is a wonderful hotel with a friendly and compentent staff. The dinners were the best we had in all of France. Views were fantastic. Great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Close proximatey to other villages. Very short walk to Gordes. Secured free parking. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed here 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer.

Romarins is a good hotel for the lovely village of Gordes. When I did my research, the hotel looked a bit far from the village centre, but in actuality it's quite close if you have a car. You can even walk to the town in daylight if you like, though I didn't try it. I am guessing it would take 15 mins or so to walk to the village centre. I reserved one of the smaller/cheaper rooms and so it wasn't particularly spacious. Basically, just some walking space around the bed. But I was satisfied as the room was relatively inexpensive. You can also get a lovely view of the town from the hotel premises (though not from my room). The only "complaint" I have is that the breakfast was required so you have to account for the breakfast price in your room price (which is the only price quoted in your reservation). I would have preferred spending the same money on eating breakfast elsewhere.

This is our 2nd stay at Le Mas des Romarins. Since 2000 the entire facility has greatly improved. The staff was outstanding, and the service was excellent. I would recommend sites L'ill sur Sorgue and Rousillon. I would discourage anyone from dining at Les Mas Tourteron. Raw cod, angry loud chef. Horrible experience. I would highly recommend dining at Hostellerie Le Phebus, in Joucas. Ourstanding!

This is a really nice hotel and I would recommend everyone going to Gordes to stay at Mas de Romarins. Exellent view to the city of Gordes and only a four minute walk to the (small) city. We had dinner at the hotel and it was good - a bit expensive maybe.

This is a quiet, charming B&B that is a short drive or a longer stroll to the center of Gordes. We stayed here only one night, but wish that we had planned to stay longer on our travels through Provence. The staff member who spoke with us on the phone and greeted us at the hotel was super helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean, if a bit small. Highly recommended.

This hotel is in a superb location overlooking the town of Gordes. Some rooms are rather small, but are well equipped with very well designed bathroom facilities. The evening meal was good value in terms of local prices and very well cooked. We very much enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely return.

Our room had been given to someone else so we had to have a cheaper room for one night and waited until 2pm the following day to move into our booked room. Hotel is lovely, small and excellently situated. Manager, Dominique, friendly and charming. Did not realise until checkout after 4 nights that breakfast was 'compulsory'. The wording on Venere booking stated costing did not include breakfast and we did not take it. Was sorted on departure but returned home to find email saying they had taken an additional 69 euros to cover cost of breakfast. Put us off any recommendation.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Gordes room with the private terrace. The view of Gordes was fabulous, and having the table and chairs outside was nice for a picnic lunch with our daughters. Visiting on market day was fun. We enjoyed driving to visit the Abbye and Roussillon. I would highly recommend eating dinner at your hotel - it was wonderful! The only bad part was that we only got to eat there once! The Hotel experience was perfect!

The price indicated in the website and the price we actually paid was different. The price indicated was w/o breakfast, but when checking out, the hotel indicated a price inclusive of breakfast. I would strongly recommend couples, but maybe not for families with small children since it was such a small and quiet hotel and most of the other guests were a crowd who enjoyed the peacefulness of Gordes.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in mid September, after spending 3 nights at the sister Mas, Mas des Carassins in St. Remy de Provence. Both hotels are delightful and charming, as are the owners, Pierre and Michel, and the staff, who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The dinners are delicious, as well as being a great bargain. The setting and the view is stunning! I spent a lot of time on the Internet trying to find the best places to stay in Provence for a relatively reasonable amount of money. My husband was very impressed that I had discovered and nabbed both Mas des Romarins and Mas des Carassins. We had a "deluxe" room at both locations. If you book directly with the Mas, the price of the breakfast is included: (coffee, tea, 2 juices, fresh fruit, cereal, granola, ham, cheese, croissants, coffee cakes, the best yogurt I've ever had - and I used to make my own) We were able to sleep at both places with a window wide open, which is important to me. We took 4 of our 5 nights' dinners at the two Mas and we should have taken all 5, as our dinner at a local restaurant in Gordes (recommended by another guest) did not measure up to either of the Mas' dinners in quality or value. English is spoken so well that I got lazy about using my French while I was there. We had a great time at both places and hope to return. See my other review for Mas des Carassins, dated October 3, 2006, on TripAdvisor.com

Everything was lovely, it really was, BUT I was very disappointed that breakfast was mandatory. It was 11 euros per person and for that kind of money, wow, I can get a Sunday buffet with Belgian waffles, 2 flavors of syrup, eggs Benedict, 5 types of salads, 4 types of meat, 3 kinds of bread, 3 kinds of desserts, etc etc at home. I really don't think the breakfast should be mandatory. The breakfast really increased the price of the room to the point that I would not stay here again. The hotel is lovely, the service is lovely, the view is wonderful, they have a nice pool for cooling off in the afternoons, the rooms are very tastefully decorated, the showers are the height of luxury, BUT the price of breakfast means that I won't go back. If you have this kind of money in your budget, go for it and enjoy it, but do make the mental calculation of what this hotel is truly going to cost you.

This place is wonderful. The room we had wasn't large but was beautifully furnished. It's the situation and views that make this hotel such a fabulous place to visit. There is a lovely pool and taking breakfast on the terrace looking across the valley to Gordes was magical. I very much hope to be able to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful location a few minutes' walking distance from Gordes but away from the bustle. Clean, pleasant rooms and a nice large pool to relax in before dinner. Note: dinner is served at the hotel on only certain nights and reservations are essential in the best restaurants in town.

Les Mas de Romarins is located just outside of Gordes within 5 minutes walking distance of the village centre. The view of Gordes and the surrounding countryside from the hotel is fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the rooms in the annexe. Whilst a little in the small size it was clean and had all the facilities we needed. If you get the chance, make sure that you take up the offer of evening meal in the hotel(3 times a week I think)at extra cost). Delicious Provencal cooking. A lovely hotel in one of Provence's most beuatiful villages. Highly recommended

Proprietor was most welcoming - even upgraded us to a room with a better view at no extra cost. Helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations. Very pleased with hotel. Would be delighted to return some time.Difficulty in finding hotel was result of looking at map rather than reading instructions.
