The hotel is under refurbishment, would not dismiss as a return, the spa was wonderfull and staff very good large and area all facilities working, however having been to this hotel before sadly all the paint and decor does not make up for bad restuarant service, had to wait for hot grill to be refilled for some time did not get all our breakfast at the same time. Hope this is improved upon all other aspects were very good and did enjoy our stay.

Just returned from a very relaxing stay at The Buchanan Arms Hotel. Room was clean and warm. Bathroom beginning to look a little 'tired', but shower was hot and powerful. All staff were friendly and welcoming and the public areas were smart. We enjoyed using the spa but felt that the shower areas were not kept as clean as they could have been. Unfortunately we were woken by painters sandpapering and scraping down the skirting boards in the corridors at 8am on our final morning. Am sure this work could have been started later in the day to please the residents. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning to the hotel again.
